No, Trump could not be trusted to keep to any agreement made.

Wise up...

Today Kim destroyed his nuclear testing site in front of international observers.

There must be a penalty for reneging on Iran particularly as Iran kept to the agreement, even if its just that other nations are no longer confident in their dealings with you, that is a big price to pay.

As the UK is finding out over brexit.

NK were all in too much of a hurry to blow that up, before inspectors got in to see.

Trump is a disaster of a statesman for sure, but NK is a many headed snake and to be treated with extreme caution. Having said that, i dont see any major reason to have pulled out of the summit, other than Trump needs this mess to drag on to distract the public from other things.

Trump has pulled out of several international treaties, how does he think that negotiating new ones will now work seeing as he didnt honor the originals and he will be distrusted throughout.

Trump is actually doing rather well.

All this claptrap about how other countries view Trump is weak nonsense. You are projecting how you view about Trump onto the self interest of other nations.

Countries don't operate on that level.

Funny how Trump pulling out of deals is always a bad thing? He's been correct every time eg Paris, Iran.

His biggest problem was announcing the Kim Jong-un meeting in the first place. Once Kim Jong-un started posturing publicly, Trump was right with his tough stance and to walk away – which you should be able to do in any negotiation (take note Theresa May with the EU). It's still open for a return to the table anyway.

From America's perspective I agree that he's right on both Paris and Iran.

I often get the impression that people in other countries expect the US to operate as some kind of global ethical actor when every other major player doesn't.

China, Russia and India for example.

Anyone with common sense in the west understands that it is very very important that the US remains the western superpower. There are so many frankly stupid people about who don't realise what the world would be like if this top superpower position were held by China or Russia.

People are spoiled by peace......which is largely due to the position the US has held at the centre of western hegemony.

This is said in full recognition that the US is far from a perfect country or one undeserving of criticsm....if ever there could be one anyway.
