They'd be my choices, but it's a tricky one with Zaha as we haven't won a game without him.

Milivojevic??????????

Took set pieces all year, didn't hit a single assist (edit: had one assist in the 34th matchday against Brighton, with only 4 matches to go until the end of the season, but it wasn't one of his set pieces). Makes you wonder why does he take set pieces actually? Ok, he scored 1 very nice goal from a free kick and is good from the penalty spot (7 of his 10 goals were from the penalty spot) but he couldn't cross for a goal an entire season despite taking set pieces!!

Guilty at plenty of goals (the one in the 90th minute against Man United easily comes to mind, but there were others too).

It's like fans here have a fascination with Milivojevic. Decent player but in no way player of the season. Not even a great season if you ask me, just a mediocre one.

Undoubtedly Zaha, Townsend, Tomkins, PVA, McArthur have kept this team up and deserve it a lot more.

I think I can safely discount every comment you ever post on here after that one. Time to take your eyes off the data and watch the bl00dy football.

That said, Tomkins just shaves it for me with Luka a very close second.

Youth player a no-brainer.

Milivojevic has 10 goals and 1 assist in 33 games (+1 off the bench), while Zaha has 8 goals and 3 assists, no one else is that close in terms of goals created. The fact they came from set pieces when no one else could step up and score from a set piece only helps his case for POTY. He's second to none and tied with Townsend for games played showing he's a core part of the team. One of if not the most consistent player and his attitude and leadership is inspiring to say the least.

Apart from Zaha i can't see anyone other than Luka taking the honours. He's been immense in more ways than one, suggesting that he's not one of the players that have kept this team up is just not right, and if this a mediocre season for him in your words than i can't wait to see what he could do in a good season.

For me:
POTY = Luka Milivojevic
Young POTY = Aaron Wan Bissaka (Would say Loftus-Cheek if he was our player)

Wan Bissaka is nailed on for the "pleasant surprise, 'one of our own', young player of the season" but it'd be difficult to argue that Loftus Cheek hasn't contributed more. He was only 22 at the back end of January.

Lies, damn lies and statistics.

POTY is tough Any one of half a dozen though I am sure Wilf will get the glory.

AWB is a shoe in though surely RLC deserves it even if he is on loan?

the dignified don't even enter in the game

Seriously????
Foook, I'm out of this discussion. The guy has been taking penalties while Zaha has been creating from open play. Can you not see the distinction?

for me its got to be Wilf, purely because without him I feel we would haven't had a chance to stay up. second Jimmy for me and then Luka.

RLC has to get young player for me too, AWB didn't play enough sadly, but I'm really excited for his future.

Zaha for me. Clearly our most important player. Luka has been excellent, as has Tomkins, but Zaha I think deserves it again given the fact that when he's in the team we win games and when he isn't we don't.

RLC for young player if he's eligible (don't see why he wouldn't be).
