I personally think Wilshere changed his game last season. He used to be all action, box to box. I think he's trying to be more like Pirlo. Probably means fewer injuries, but would weaken us off the ball. And he'll never be Pirlo.

I've heard we do certainly want Wilshere but he wants £5m signing on fee and £120k per week, which is huge. I would imagine if Cabaye now rejects the 50% salary reduction we can look at Wilshere, but we will not have both.

Abraham on loan is happening it seems and we are looking at Sakai and Jake Livermore.

We owe Liverpool £20m+ for Benteke and Sakho this month, so we are pretty skint.

Don't expect too much movement in this window.

Ward and Cabaye are both stalling on new deals.

Selling point for JW to come to us has to be RH, for me if he comes we need cover given his injury record I have concerns about his attitude , all about ME rather than the team , is he really a team player when things don’t go his way ??!

And if we kept Jimmy Mac, Wilf and Andros and the players stayed fit (!) - one hell of a midfield!
