If there is truth in this Wilshire knowing Roy from his England days is a massive advantage for us.

Probably something both want to forget

I thought West Ham were in talks with the PSG playmaker.

Btw someone on the bbs said Wilshire all of a sudden has started following Wilf and Wickham on Twitter.

Make of that what you will.

What.....to the treatment room?

Plenty of press coverage for a full England international and - on form - a true top 6 game changer... and he is closely linked with us. Yet...

Only 25 posts. Is this indifference, cynicism, disappointment?

Get him in, I say. But he cannot play every game. His body wont hold out for 38 games.

Wiltshire is a cheat. He dives and writhes over non-existent fouls. He is the classic example of a ‘diver’.

It’s a real shame as he has such ability.

Wilshire was fit as a fiddle when I saw him at the Emirates a few weeks ago, he was excellent.

He is still only 26 so while his injury record is not good that is for the medics to judge, look at Kompany for example.

For quality he is the best, and that is what RH wants most IMO.

Wilshire is better than anything we have in our midfield.

He was brilliant for Arsenal at Selhurst last season against us and is only 26.

Always rated Wilshire highly.

If I was a creative midfielder I would have looked at our performances in the second half of the season and thought "I wouldn't mind a bit of that." A fit Wilshire would, in my mind, take our game up a notch. However, he would demand big wages and his fitness/ability to stay injury free has to be a very big question mark. The other concern would be his attitude, given he would probably prefer to get a new deal at Arse or a so-called bigger club.

Would revolutionise our midfield. I just think hes out of our reach, has West Ham written all of it. You have to question the gamble of what the deal would be with his injury record. Not sure we can afford to have a player of his calibre/cost in the treatment room for long periods. The only reason we can even have the conversation about him is because of the injuries.

He’s certainly not out of reach. We’re his preferred choice according to reports.

So true. In that game Yohan plus milo couldn’t keep up with hi. And that says a lot. Our two cms I think are amongst the best outside of the top 6

Why would you say that? I’d say that we’re a much more attractive proposition than West Ham presently. What with a manager he knows well, players like Milo, Wilf and Andros to play alongside and a set of fans who always support the team ferociously through thick and thin. Can’t see why you’re down on our chances to be honest.
