This is actually a great idea.

United would likely trust Hodgson and Palace to give him game time and develop him correctly in his favored position.

Why? United lent us Fosu-Mensah "to give him game time and develop him correctly in his favoured position" but after a while he couldn't even break into the match day squad let alone play in his favoured position

Rashford and Martial are the new De Bruyne and Salah.

Why develop a 20 y.o when you can pay £26m PA to a 29 y.o?

Did it not feel a little like it was more beneficial longer term to develop AWB than TFM? I'm not sure TFM did a lot wrong, and was certainly no more costly than AWB, who was caught out of position here and there. But when you're allowing young players to learn from mistakes, it's better for it to be your own than someone else's. I'd be happy with TFM as a Palace player but clearly there's no point in hindering the development of our own.

pretty sure several players we have now we're laughed off before we signed them. Benteke, Cabaye, Sakho even resigning Wilf. it probably won't happen but isn't as absurd as some say.

This is because TFM has Lee Sinnott levels of defensive ability (that's probably an insult to Lee Sinnott).

He is lacking in most departments but his positional sense and tackling are atrocious.

I notice no one on here is suggesting we sign him which says a lot about his ability and what we have in the squad now.

TFM's tackling is excellent for a player of his age and experience. His positional sense, like most young defenders, could be much improved. I'd take him back at the right price/wages, no bother.

TFM was decent for us and didn’t do a lot wrong. He was unlucky with the arrival out of AWB out of nowhere. As already stated, as AWB is a Palace player it made sense to give him game development time over TFM.

As for Rashford, redicilous shout. He’s an important first team player at United and plays regularly. If they sigh 2 more strikers then maybe

Well quite. We pay his wages we play him when and if it suits us not his development for them.

Also from day one he was tweating messages to the manure fans saying dont worry, ill be back I won't be gone long. Contrast that to RLC who embraced the opportunity and behaved impecably (and was much better)

We gave enough game time to RLC and that’s worked out well for all. Just because TFM couldn’t break in to our first team at times shouldn’t be a huge issue to United. It more tells them the level the player is at.

Rashford is obviously a different kettle of fish. And why loan him to say Leicester where he would sit on there bench behind Vardy and possibly even Iheanacho. When they could loan him to us and yeah he’d start every game when fit like RLC did as he’d be the best we have.

TFM wasn’t the best we had...

Can’t see Untied loaning him. Jose would get slaughtered but if he did, reality is we’d be a great team for him to come to.

Startin XI in a team who plays attacking football.

Perfect for him really.

Anyone who says Fosu Mensah was crap is crazy. Kept sane quiet all game against Man City, has great pace, tackling ability was very strong contrary to what some other posters have said. He is actually younger than Wan Bissaka. I would welcome him back and probably prefer him to Ward.
