Is there any chance for them to escape relegation? Well, Stoke is down after today. WBA have left it too late, but they've got 3 wins and 2 draws in their last 5 matches. Honestly, I wouldn't have believed they'll beat Tottenham of all teams!! And in the last minute!

Let's see what they need to stay in the PL:
1. Of course, they have to win their last fixture, against Palace (already saved, players thinking about vacation)

2. This puts them at a maximum of 34 points. This mans that they can't go ahead of Huddersfield no matter what (Huddersfield already have 35). So that could just leave Swansea and Southampton behind them. Neither of which must make more than 34 points. Considering they play each other and if one of them wins they make more than 34, it's a tough gamble for WBA. But let's say that it might happen (who knows, it might finish 0-0 or 1-1). That puts Swansea at 34 points with one more fixture and Southampton at 33 (possibly 34 if they draw tonight away at Everton, I can't see them winning). So it will be a tie break considering the goal difference. WBA sits a little better than Swansea. They are at -23 (and with a win in the last round could even make it to -21). Swansea is already at -26 and with no more wins until the end would go below WBA. Southampton is a little better than WBA, but not by much. They're at -19, but if they lose big time against Man City in the last round, they could go to -22. Sure, Man City has already won the league and don't have anything to fight for, but they won't just move away. And Man City can always beat you really bad, especially when you try to attack them. If Southampton was playing any other team than City, I would have said WBA doesn't stand a chance, but fate has it that Southampton's match is really tough.

3. Ok, if until this it seems A LITTLE possible, WBA's chances go really low after the last condition: that Swansea loses in their last match to Stoke. This, in my opinion, seems inconceivable, especially as they're playing at home.
So, WBA have probably left it too late and they're going to be really sorry for it. But they should fight all the way. Some miracle might just happen, there is still a 1% chance. Who knows....?

I have a close friend who supports WBA, so for her sake I’d like them to stay up and likewise for their recent incredible endeavours.

However, my loyalties are with the Eagles, therefore I hope for another 3 points next week and a rousing performance to boot.
