Isn't it a 38 match season but take your point ? After the debacle at the beginning of this season then it is this, particularly if we get more points than last. Massive achievement. No club since Liverpool in 1899-1900 have achieved this in the top flight and they may well of scored as well !! Love to see us have a strong performance against the Baggies immaterial what they are going for than the damp squib against the Man Ure u 23's. Have Roy at the helm next season, proper transfer window with decent acquisitions and we will be well set next year. Prob would of been the same with Sam at the helm this season and Pulis as well if they had stayed. COYP !!

after a poor start yet again we pulled ourselfs out of trouble 2013/14 season we lost 9 of our first 10 that fact never gets mentioned,everyone focused on points and goals yes thats is the aim.

but heres some stats we had 46% possession 82 shots 16 on target no goals first seven games,our finishing was woeful at best and dont forget we played 3 of the top 6 away,
Burnley only had 41% possession 61 shots 18 on target but scored 7 goals,people need to look at the complete picture i had faith and stats saying we not as bad as it looks, we only had 9 more shots in the next 7 games but we got 40 on target still only 8 goals which is not a good return.
So lets hope we start next season scoring because 75% of the work is working, its that last 25% we need to improve

Roy has got us playing attractive football despite the pressure we've been under and I don't think in the 30 years I've been watching Palace we've ever looked that good when moving the ball around. Additionally, despite the doom merchants, I have always been confident we'd turn it around as in 80-90% of games against teams outside the top 6 we have looked the better side and those that foretold of relegation, for me, were just seeing results and not performances.

With more efficiency in front of goal, more luck and less injuries we would have been in holiday mode weeks ago. Last season Sam showed his talent at negating the oppositions tactics and efficiently using our pace on the break, but he never got us playing like we have under Roy and we rather stumbled over the line unlike the glorious climax that has wet our pants this last few weeks.

I know it's like a stuck record, but if we can retain Roy and the key first-team players and either rehabilitate Bentenke or bring in a new striker, plus add two or three players to push the current first XI, then I truly believe next season could be our best since the early 90s.

Good points made by yourself. My only worry is the Weed will finish above us. If not then this season will trump most.

A fulham fan in work says that Roy makes the team move forward like a regimented army battalion, altogether, whether that be slow possession or counter, so to stop the need for long spray passes that can go amiss from even the most skillful of passers.

So its all neat quick passing that can hardly ever miss his team mate cos his team mate is nearby.
