If we’re looking at scooping up quality from demoted teams how about Joe Allen? He fits the sort of hole we’re lijelt to have in midfield.

He looks a decent player and I thought we should have gone after him before he joined Stoke. A decent replacement for Johann if we need one.

If he is prepared to take a big wage drop, the I’d give him a one or two year contract, but still bring in joe Allen knowing that Cabaye is injury prone and doesn’t last a full 90 anyway.

With what Roy has hinted at first team starting players ‘definitely leaving no doubt 100%’ I assume Cabaye is off. I will be sad, but Allen wouldn’t be a terrible replacement in my opinion.

I can't palace would let him go for nothing his worth at least.10million so how can they let him run down his contract don't make sense

If he really is on £29k a week then would be a useful addition. But I think he is inferior to Cabaye. How about Ericsken at Spurs?
