Yes I am refering to the Dutch bloke who made such a poor fist of management. But there are still thing's he wanted to introduce to the Palace set-up I think are good for Palace. Hence the reason why SP hired him. Using youth team players as a matter of course with at least one on the bench every game. Then the almost prophetic 4/6 formation that worked so well eventually. I don't mean for him to take the reigns, but a healthy back-room mover.

Remind us, when was that? You don't even know his name, he must of made a big impression on you.

Great. And maybe we could put it to SP that a more expansive type of football is what we need. Yes I am sure SP would LOVE this idea and if he did he would have tried it already.

Enjoying getting up later and not having someone who knows better than me (apart from the missus of course).

Know what the season has not even finished and here we are talking about giving FDB a backroom job, making Steven Reid manager, wondering about Ray Lewington and pensioning off RH! and telling SP we want expansive football. I really wonder what planet some people are on lets just enjoy next Sunday let Roy decide his future, try and get new signing in early and enjoy the summer!!!!

Surely the natural successor to Roy is Ray Lewington?

(hopefully after Roy stays on at least another couple of years)

If we're going for past managers, maybe we should look at Dougie Freedman

We may need to find a successor sooner than we think if some of the rumours I have been hearing over the past few days are true. Sounds like issues again with Parish and transfer funds. I pray this is just another rumour as I hate all the gossip.

No real source although I have heard from a few mates now and some have close connections to the club.

I'm praying this will not happen and we will sort things out. I know we will need to be clever with funds for the stadium, but we cannot go into another season with a change of manager. Only so many times we can get away with this.

Don't shoot me for this message please as I am only stating what I have been hearing....

You hate gossip but then post gossip. Which is it?

I don't think transfer funds have ever been the issue. It's about getting a deal over the line, that is the issue.

I think this could well be a hugely defining closed season for our club. I hope all concerned get it right.
