This is what I thought after Everton equalized last Saturday. It may turn out a blessing in disguise for Southampton as realistically they have to beat Swansea and also this pretty much makes certain they will stay up.

in the final game , its

Southampton vs Man City

Swansea vs Stoke.

so we know Southampton will face a top quality team with questionable motivations,

Swansea will face a relegated prem team who will only be fighting for pride and individual players trying to look good for the transfer market.

Based on this, Southampton cannot sit back and take a draw... they must win.

Southampton have statistically the most c...ntish manager in all of Christendom, scientifically speaking.

Steve Claridge is manager of Salisbury

Been watching the game for half an hour and the standard of football is just AWFUL. It could easily end 0-0 and give West Brom something to play for on Sunday.

SCFC 0-1 SFC final. WBA are down. Our match with them means more to us than them.

Probably best result for us. All hope gone and a long trudge through south London traffic for absolutely nothing

Congrats to Mark Hughes.

Stoke knives flashing as we speak.

Also ex-Palace Alex McCarthy goalkeeper has been excellent for Saints, did not work out for him with us.

A more solid outfit than the Swans on the night.

Mixed for me. Sometimes this kind of thing means the pressure is off and they play better.

But here's to another three points for a strong finish if we can.

I'd like to see Swansea stay up and Huddersfield go down.

Chelsea still got a chance of finishing in the top four so there'll be full tilt tomorrow against the cloggers of Huddersfield.
