So long as we get a better result than Newcastle who re playing Chelsea we will be top 10.

Not quite; depending of how West Ham get on tonight, they could overhaul us on the last day, if they were to win and we drew. We can also be overhauled by Bournemouth, Watford and (God forbid) Brighton. The only way to be absolutely sure of 10th is to beat WBA and at least equal Newcastle's GD.

I know it's all if's, but's and maybe's,

Lets say we had taken 8 points from our first 7 games, we didn't drop 3 against Utd and Bournmouth, we took 2 more off City at home and an extra point against Spurs

That's 17 more points, with only scoring one more goal (penalty against City).

We could have been 2 points behind Arsenal

But a top ten finish would be amazing, and even more so finishing above Brighton.

Please look up relative clauses in your English grammar.

Aren't relative clauses the ones introduced by who/which/whose/when/where?

I was thinking that it doesn't sound right that you said "All 4 of the top 6 sides"

Usually but not exclusively. The original post refined the group to those members of the top 6 playing last night, making it fine to talk about all 4 of them.

We dropped 4 against Bournemouth, 2 by missing the penalty at home and 2 with the last minute equaliser away.

It's probably a good thing that they've made 8 changes from their last game as they lost that to a toilet side.

Nearly lost to another toilet side last night as well. A draw though still means Wet Spam need to win to catch us even if we lose on Sunday, goal difference being what it is. Ref played a blinder as well, "didn't see" Noble assault Pogba rught under his nose. No doubt it will be "forensically examined". Will it result in him being pulled from our game at the weekend and replaced with someone competent? Fat chance.

Well, the other 20% from the title was the possibility of a more than 1 goal difference win by Newcastle in front of Chelsea.

No top 10 finish this team. Maybe next year
