I agree with you totally, a golden opportunity to become an established Premier league club missed, And Managers & Players have come and gone over the past 6/7 years, The only constant is Parish, I am afraid its not good enough. I am pretty sure Roy will leave at the end of the season as Parish did not support him in the transfer market. I think its gone too far for him to recover the situation.

As we say its totally different and pretty much unforgiving in the Premier for Managers as many find out and are shipped out and end up in the Championship or lower, Unfortunately with SP (Who is a lovely guy) he has been found wanting at this level, The last transfer window is turning out to be inadequate, And one SP and his side kick DF in my eyes are the main reason we flirt with relegation every year

And yet here we are still in the Prem, never in the clubs history have we been in the top flight for so long and we will be there next season as well. I would say that's pretty established. Although any of the bottom 13 teams could go down, any given season, that's the nature of the league we're in.

Is there plenty to moan about, yes, could we be better, yes but the board own the club.. They own it, it's their's and I for one am very happy, we have the Board we do. Worked out well so far, despite some crap results, we have progressed, up the table more or less year on Year.

You wouldn't find a pundit around that thinks we will go down and neither do I.

Can't wait for the new stand, fingers crossed we can get it done...

Personally, for example, I've always been a massive fan of Parish.

He's only ever fallen down, just a little bit in my estimation, since he started banging that Susanna Reid chick.

This club is not established in any way shape or form. Its hit and hope very year. Parish is not proactive. Keep dreaming about that stand as it will never get built under him. What we need is soemone who has real money and can really progress us forward. Someone who has done large scale enterprise business and not Parish the barrow boy who made a few quid up in the city back in the day.

The only time we had the right idea of where to head as a club since promotion was when we got FdB. Finally a vision of how we want to play, how we'd involve the youth, some long term thinking. It's a massive shame he was an arrogant idiot as it means we won't do that again and will stick with the usual dinosaurs in charge. Bet Moyes is next for us. It saddens me that we are such an insular, small time club these days with little ambition but staying up as we have potential to be comfortable in the league without s***ting ourselves every season and playing positive, attractive football. Bournemouth and Watford put us to shame in this regard, even Leicester to an extent.

no one at the club has the vision to push us on and unfortunately there is little pressure to do so from us lot, though maybe this is one season too many of the same old dross and we will demand more of the club from now. "He saved us" and "never had it so good (ha!)" just does not cut the mustard for CPFC in 2018

The Way Our Club Is Run......

.......has brought our most successful spell in the top-flight in our history. What's not to like?
Of course things (SP/Selhurst) aren't perfect, but in this day and age where money talks more than ever, this fact should be applauded and not constantly bloody derided. Until we relocate to something bigger and shiny things aren't going to change.

Enjoy the ride

Sorry but this is a bit delusional. We’re fire fighting every January, spending what we should’ve done in August, or possibly more, or possibly on one extra player we wouldn’t have bought who’s, well, just cr@p. Schlupp anyone? We have no strategy and those attempting any strategy or to advise Parish on any strategy are Ex Palace players with zero experience, let alone success at doing so.

The only time Parish takes any notice or gets any knowledgeable advice or plain truths is when well respected managers keep knocking on his door or ringing his mobile in January to ask if the few essential players are coming in at all. It’s a shame Roy is such a gentleman really, but then that’s why he’s still here or wants to be here.

Parish is no doubt a successful businessman but the handling of football matters short and long term are poor and end up eating into future budgets, something we’re suffering from now, although we sign Meyer for 4-4-2 and Sorloth and the other cr@p last January to never play. It’s all just one extreme go the other, and then there’s Pardew’s open expansive project, back to cautious and careful point respecting football, over to Frank’s gradual experiment attempted in 2 months on £3.75.

I think that after 6 seasons in the prem we could have made some real progress both on the field and with our infrastructure had we gone and done things he way the likes of Burnley, Watford and Bournemouth have. Instead we have bought 2 big name players and spent all the rest of the money on wages and compensation to managers we have fired. Yes staying in this division is the priority but there is a right and wrong way of doing it. Parish is wrong in what he is doing and people are finally starting to wake up.

Unfortunately, I'm not enjoying it anymore ... and am probably more inclined to give up my season ticket next season than at any time I can recall.

That's a genuine shame.....If you are talking about the 'singing section' fiasco....I do have sympathy for the long termers who have been unfairly affected by that.

That's a sad case of those who shout loudest.

How many clubs are "established" in the Premiership, please tell me out of the 20, how many are guaranteed to stay up? Please list them...

Many thought Stoke as an established Premiership club. Would you say that West Ham are established, Newcastle, Bournemouth, Burnley, Watford, Southampton, Brighton, Leicester, then there's Cardiff, Fulham, Wolves, Huddersfield, are they on they way to being established?

Furthermore, what do you mean exactly when you say Parish is not proactive. What is it exactly.

Also you say Parish the "barrow boy" but the board has 2 extremely rich Americans on it who also own the club. They have plenty of experience in running sporting enterprises, do they not?

I get your upset, your not the first. I say again, What do you want? Do you want to get rid of the board so we can finish in the top ten, or go into the Europa League. Do you think that would make us an established club. I would argue that we would be no more established than we are now and that we are as established as any of the clubs I have listed, which is more tha half the Premiership.

Ok, let's say this is true.

Crystal Palace Players Salaries 2018/19

Christian Benteke £120,000
Shocking return on goals. WASTED MONEY

Zaha £120,000
Understandable.

Meyer £120,000
Hardly played, taking his time, understandably to settle but was also a free agent.

Mamadou Sakho £100,000
Is he worth twice PVA or Tomkins? There must be a better bargain out there!

Scott Dann £60,000
Injured - so far, wasted money.

Connor Wickham £60,000
Wasted money.

Jeffrey Schlupp D £56,000
Really? He is worth this much to the team?

Luka Milivojevic £55,000
Understandable.

Jairo Riedewald D £55,000
Really?

Andros Townsend £55,000
Arguable, when on form, yes.

In comparison,

Leicester one player hit 100k - Vardy. 2 others are on more than 60k. This is a league winners club just two years back.

Watford only have player higher than 50k.

Southampton, under 80K

Burnley, all under 40k.

Brighton, all under 50k

Bournemouth - Defoe hits 100k, the rest all under 70k.

Newcastle - all under 70k.

Benteke, Sakho should be sold - Parish should cut his losses. 4 wages of decent players can come out of that. Riedewald either needs to start producing or get replaced with someone who can. A massive clear out is needed and a cap of 70k.
