I hope Freedman does!

I'm thinking of quality players who might have been in Premier League and given it a year or two to see if their clubs come back up

I don't follow the league but examples might include Grealish who seems to have matured. Traore is very skilled - but was undisciplined in PL and unlikely to be sold to us by Pulis

This lot must have been doing something right.....

I personally think Jack Grealish has come on loads this season - he seems to have matured from his erratic early performances both on and of the pitch, Will almost certainly be available if Villa fail to get promoted.

I asume you're asking about Palace affordable players, so that rules out Maddison or Sessgnon.

Certainties:

Ezgjan Alioski- one of my favourite players when he was in Switzerland. Played for a relatively small team, but took them to Europe (Lugano). This guy is exactly like GARETH BALE (on a smaller scale!). Used to be a left back, but was going in going up, that they moved him to left wing or even striker position. But he does great as a winger with his left foot. He smashed some assisting records in Switzerland, Didn't have a great first year in Leeds, but it was the team's fault mostly, not his own. Incredible speed, not so good with the ball at decision making. Exaactly Gareth Bale's style. Just as strong and well built too.

Matej Vydra- really fast second striker

Mitrovic- center forward with a backgroud as top goalscorer in Belgium at a really young age, will be main striker for Serbia at the WC, so he'll wait out a transfer till after that

Conor Hourihane- great central midfielder playmaker

Adama Traore- though the price would be hiiiiigh

Harry Wilson- on loan at Hull from Liverpool. Extremely yung, but more like a certainty than a promise. I'd put all my money on this one!

Matt Smith- very underrated center forward, probably best in the air in England. But not very young, going to be 29 in the summer

Kamil Grosicki- Polish international, I've seen him live many times, he's really fast and strong. Great as long as he played, was not at fault for the relegation from the PL as he had only arrived in the winter. He was one of the best assisters in Ligue 1. Downside is that he's not very young anymore at 29.

Abel Hernandez- had a bad injury, but will get back to being a great striker. I'm sure of it.

Lamine Kone- Sunderland center back, I used to like him when they were in the top division. They'll be looking to sell a lot now.

Lewis Baker- a central midfielder I really like, undervalued in Middlesbrough. Was geat on loan at Vitesse, one of the best in the Netherlands. It's really bafling why they don't use him. Hey, now that I think about it, screw Joe Allen! Get this guy to replace Cabaye! You wouldn't regret it! Cheap and very fast and strong, good with his passing too!

Fernando Forrstieri- winger-striker linked before with Palace, back in good form after an operation

Tom Cairney- central or attacking midfielder

Floyd Ayite- Togolese winger for Fulham, I like him. Not that young though at 29.

Jota- 26 yo left footed winger from Birmingham

Ryan Fredericks- the right back linked with Palace.

Joe Bryan- left back.

Emiliano Marcondes- you'll say I'm crazy cause he has 12 matches and only 1 assist for Brentford, but he has barely gotten adjusted to playing in England (those 12 matches are actually just 300 playing minutes). A real talent, the top goalscorer of the Danish league at just 22. Brazilian blood too. More diminutive than Sorloth, more like a second striker. More technical too. Cost them just 2,5 million.

Lois Diony- don't be fooled by the fact that he hasn't played much for Bristol. This guy is one of the top goalscorers in Ligue 1 last year and in Ligue 2 (France's second division, close to the Championship in value) 2 years ago. You can't make an idea of him in Bristol if he doesn't get playing time, but St Etienne (one of France's top 6 teams) paid for him 9 million 1 year ago. That tells you somethig. I'd have him over Benteke any day.

Markus Henriksen- great central midfielder of Hull.

Jack Colback- good central midfielder, just 28 (we've known him for a lifetime).

Leandro Bacuna- was forced on many positon, but would make a good right back.

Hanry Lansbury- as a central midfielder, not an attacking one.

Massimo Luongo- solid defensive midfielder, Aussie.

Stefan Johansen- great central midfielder! (that's the second great central midfielder from Norway on my list!). Can play left midfileder too as he is left footed, but his position is central midfielder.

Oliver Norwood- central midfielder on loan from Weed (one more year of contract there). Did a great job at Fulham this year. Previous years too

John Swift- one of mu favourite players. Really underused in Reading and I think they would let him go cheaply. Can play both as central midfielder and as attacking midfielder. Was maybe the best player of the league last year, when Reading had a very good season. Not bad for a player of just 21 at the time!

.
.

Very promising (no order):

Duncan Watmore- had a nasty injury, but I still believe in him. Loved him in the PL. Player coming from the Academy, showed exteme determination when coming on. Really fast.

Jack Grealish- very young, left footed, used to show great promise since the Premier League days.

Callum Robinson- Preston's winger, just 23, not very expensive

Tom Lawrence- bought by Derby from Leicester for 5 million, just 24

Cauley Woodrow- a center forward who looks very good for his age of 23 (just 1 more year of contract with Fulham).

Adam Reach- left footed winger of 25

Bobby Reid- attacking midfielder of 25, but only 1 good season

Tom Barkhuizen- winger of 24

Barrie McKay- Scottish winger of 23

Jarrod Bowen- left footed winger, very young, current U21 international

Famara Diedhiou- striker who came from France, 25 yo

Neal Maupay- another striker who came from France, but much younger, just 21

Aboubakar Kamara- another good striker from France. 23 yo

Kemar Roofe- winger, has had a good season at 25

Ollie Watkins- winger, 22

Modou Barrow- formerly winger of Swansea, is still promising at 25

Britt Asombalonga- had a really bad injury, is getting back. He's 25

Che Adams- good for his age, very fit.- 22 yo.

Lucas Joao- another very fit center forward, prety good for 24. Might explode

Carl Jenkinson- right back, still waiting on him.

Onel Fernandez- very strong winger of only 25 gotten by Norwich from Germany (a market they've been exploring a lot lately with the arrivals of Srbeny, Leitner, Vrancic or Zimmerman)

Niclas Eliasson- listen o me on this player- he will turn out great, They've not given him the chances they should haved. Mark my words, he's done great at just 22, Brazilian descendency, did very well in Sweden before bought by Bristol.

Callum O'Dowda- an Irish player who shows promise, left footed, but it will be hard after an ankle surgery.

Jack Harrisson- bought by Man City from the MLS for 4 million and loaned to Boro, but he's not getting playing time.

Sheyi Ojo- belongs to Liverpool, did great on loan at Fulham this year.

Kieran Dowell- 20 yo attacking midfielder, international.

Jon Toral- left footed attacking midfielder or winger, graduated Arsenal's Academy, did very well while on loan in Scotland, but it's not a certainty.

Kasey Palmer- atacking midfielder, international.

Lynden Gooch- Sunderland got relegated, but I like the American. Very young, considered one of tthe fastest players in England, left footed.

Sergi Canos- 21 yo winger, coming from Liverpool's Academy.

Patrick Bamford- yes, swear all you want, but he's still young at 24 and has started doing good!

Lucas Piazon- you could even argue that he's a certainty at just 24! But not good enough to get into the Chelsea squad

Bersant Celina- Kosovarian attacking midfielder.

Josh Murphy- the twin brother of the Murphy Newcastle bought.

Pawel Cibicki- still waiting on this Swede center forward who can also play as left winger to get accustomed to the league. He was very good in his own country, should do well if given some time.

So that's 11 promising English wingers, 3 English strikers, 3 English attacking midfielders, 1 American winger, 1 Kosovarian, 2 Spanish attacking players, 1 Welsh winger, 1 Irish winger, 1 Scottish winger, 1 German winger with Cuban origins, 2 Swedish attacking players, 1 Brazilian, 1 Gambian, 2 French strikers, 1 Senegalese, 1 Portuguese, 1 Congolese striker.
The future looks bright for these countries!

.
.

I'd have him (not my favourites but would like them if they're free cathegory):

Neeskeens Kebano- relatively good attacking midfielder, sidelined at Fulham. Would be a good squad addition.

Marvin Johnson- left footed winger who can also play as let back.

Florian Jozefzoon- Dutch winger of French Guyana descent.

Jamie Paterson- pretty good, but not something special.

Haven't put players from Wolves or Cardiff as they're already in the PL.

Traore is quality for sure Matteo , a diamond that needs a bit of polishing . Back up and eventual replacement for Wilf when he signs for Real for £200M in 2020

And we still need a striker

Neeskens Kebano is the answer to our reserve wide man question! Erratic, but, unplayable on his day, would be a cracking addition.

Vive le Roy!
