The exact opposite has been happening the past few years. We’ve been nicking players from under West Ham’s nose. Cabaye and Benteke spring to mind. And Tomkins was obviously signed from them and would be one if the first names on their team sheet.

I think we were but probably not prepared to meet wage demands as it sounds like he left Fulham as he wanted to be highest paid player. Now I just hope he turns out to be nothing special hence why he was loaned out so much before joining Fulham. Silly boy. He should have stayed at Fulham and proved himself in the Premier League in a team where he was certain to play. A decent season with Fulham and he could have gone to one of the bigger teams. I guess he has gone for the signing on fee.

Apparently a half done deal back in January when Fulham got Christie who almost Fulham fans believe has far more bigger potential. He was always going.
