At junior school I had 2 music teachers who were complete nutcases. She played the piano and he played the violin.

I was dragged up in one assembly by my form tutor(by the ear) and made to sit by the end of the piano as they played their music in our assembly. Every time she got to the end of her piano doing the high notes she clipped me round the ear and he would hit me round the back of the head with his bow! You couldn't make it up...

I remember my best mate at school got hit round the back of the head by my English teacher using his full set of about 10 keys and it split open the back of his head. He went off to first aid and was back in class about half an hour later with a bandage on his head! Nothing was ever done and everyone just carried on as normal.

Long live the early 80s....
