Also as boring as it sounds, any big money for Zaha would pay off the Ground improvements and new Main stand almost in one go.

This has been addressed. £50 mil buy in from the Americans and then we’re short by one transfer window of transfer fees which will be mortgaged no doubt.

To pay for the new stand in one go by selling the player we couldn’t win a game without would be the most suicidal thing we could do by design. Thankfully Parish is smarter than that and only takes chances we have a chance of coming out ok with.

Parish knows we have to do all the right things together to build Palace to where he sees us being and probably selling at our peak so apart from kicking off the season with 1 striker or any other night nonsense like new managers totally unsuited to our players we have little in the big picture or Everton bids for Wilf to be concerned about.

Wilf is not really a striker, his finishing is nowhere near good enough for the figures quoted and compared to what he is worth to us. Now his finishing has come on leaps and bounds but can anyone honestly say he is a natural finisher?

He is probably worth about £50 million but I would be gutted if we sold him for that. I would be gutted if we sold him for £100 mill to be honest. He is worth more to us than any team will probably be willing to pay

I hope he stays for a long time yet but if he continues to improve as he has, there's no way he will be here to see out his cotract.

How is he worth £50mill when Mahrez is valued at £70mill, whos not as good as Zaha, is way older and nowhere near as important to his team than Zaha is for us. £50mill for his left boot.

the point about worth/worth to us has been well made. I doubt many of our bigger signings would have come had he not been here either. it'll be a pain up the arse for SP if his mind is set on going (yes, I've read his public statements and hopefully they reflect his true sentiments)

As I said, he is worth more to us but that's not the same as his "market worth"

if mahrez is worth 70million than zaha is worth 100million + zaha is a lot better than mahrez

I get your point but again how is his market value only £50mill when Mahrez is valued at £70mill, van dyke went for £75mill, sigurdson went for silly money. His value to us is way over £100mill, market value has to be minimum £70mill.

A bit like your reliable old car. The money you’ll get on selling it will never match its ‘worth’ to you as a going concern, or match what it would cost you to replace it.

if and only if we sell, should get around 75 to 85 million,to replace him like for like no one outside the top 6 have someone like Wilf even the top 6 come to that,

we have a young lad with us who could take Wilfs position if he goes , Wan-Bissaka a little raw so was wilf at his age, has tricks like wilf, loves running at players like wilf, but this lad can also tackle and doesnt keep looking at the ref, hoping he would change his mind and give a foul when he is tackled,

yes he would be a loss but Roy would have plenty of time to 1,sign a attacking winger 2,get our forwards scoring ,thats the only reason we didnt win without wilf no one up front was scoring, we had enough chances in them games,
So lets stop the world is nigh if Wilf leaves, I dont think he will unless the bigger clubs says he will be playing ever game, because Wilf loves to play he is not a bench warmer
