Today my brother is running in The Great Manchester Run in aid of Cancer research. It is a horrid disease that affects so many people. Our Mum was diagnosed with bowel and liver cancer around six years ago now and amazingly managed to beat it and has been all clear for sometime now despite a couple of scares. He is running it for all people affected but particularly a work colleague of his who recently passed away because of this unforgiving disease. I have only been able to donate a little myself due to current financial position and was gutted to see that he's only raised 33% of his £250 target so far. I did a similar thing to this about three years ago and the response from our supporters was overwhelming. Even one or two quid would be amazing and if you could leave a message so that he knows that it's from one of our supporters that would be even better. Will attempt to put a link to his page at bottom of this message (not the most teccy person but I'll give it a go). I probably wouldn't have posted here again but felt so sorry for him when I saw how few donations that he has received. Thanks for reading this if you have and an enormous thank you if you are able to donate, no matter how small, right let's give this link malarkey a go....... [Link]

Just tried to make a small donation However the charity website is demanding personal details that are not necessary to make a donation. My name and email address fair enough.

Sorry but I am not going on a charity mailing list.

Perhaps your brother might like to point this out to them. I have made donations in the past for other HOL members and this level of information was not required. They even say it relates to their mailing list.

Good luck to your brother and sorry I couldn't help.

Thank you Badger I had the same concerns but at the end you are given the option to say no to email, phone calls, post etc which I ticked no to all. Hope this puts you at ease? Really appreciate the thought and will leave it up to you.
