What i will say is, Roy has said on occasion that we are short in the middle of the park and even said at the end of the campaign that Yohan was playing through the pain to stay involved.

with that in mind and how often I saw Jairo on the bench, listed on match days, and how often he WASNT utilized even as late sub, I do have to question if Roy thinks hes up to it.

Think he will be gone by the start of the season, sold or season loan back to Holland

People want us to buy young exciting talents from abroad but they don't want to give them any time to adjust to their new surroundings and league and bed into the team.

He needs patience and a couple of seasons. We don't have the luxury of buying a team full of established £40million players so have to gamble on younger players but give them the necessary time to adapt and grow.

There's very few young players that just move across an set the world alight first season. Give him time and stop being so unrealistic. I've seen people on here dismiss Wilshere as if we're too good for him. 6 years ago we wouldn't have dreamed of buying a young internationally capped talent from Ajax or someone with over 30 caps for England.

This.... he's a good player, needs a good pre-season and a run of games. I think we will see more of him this coming season.

Guy is the same age as AWB and has made more PL apps, played in Europe and played tons of professional matches for Ajax. He needs time to flourish. Still think he is a class signing.

Thought he looked decent in CM, not so good in defence. Certainly don’t want to get rid, could be an important player over the years, still very young and needs time to adapt which will come with game time.

Depending on the midfield situation at the start of the season, a short term loan to a championship team might be an option

Exciting prospect. Could be a break through year for him.

Reasons why a manager might or might not pick a player all that often:

- Injury risk.
- S***e.
- Horses for courses.
- Keeping powder dry / impact sub.
- Still needs to learn the system.
- Developmental considerations.
- Promising but unproven.
- Current form.
- Politics.
- Age / stamina.
- Discipline.
- Personality clash.
- On-field personality, e.g. leadership.
- Contractual / loan terms.
- Fixture pressure / rotation.
- Stupidity.

Not all of those apply in the case of Hodgson, of course.

We can't conclude that not picking the player automatically means Hodgson considers him s***e. We all know he holds Wan-Bissaka in high regard but still saw him explain to him why he was subbing Ward on instead of him.

Showed in the exciting 0-0 draw New year's Eve against City that he's more than capable to hold a place in our starting 11. Would like to see Roy use him a lot more....

Absolutely must play him. He looks a good prospect to me. He has to get serious game time to prove he is the future.

He must be itching to get away from the club. The last remaining reminder of the worst experiment in Premier League history. Can’t be fun for the lad.
