You’re effectively saying work hard and knuckle down transcends all barriers, discriminatory or otherwise. This is, to repeat, overly simplistic ‘bollox’ Yeah you might end up with a steady job and a hassle free life. But what if you did something to start to help remove some of those barriers that prevented that pay rise. Or removed that particular opportunity. Nah. Just head down and take what you can get Like something out of 1984

Whoever you are, if you've legitimately come up against unjust obstacles, it is in a way your obligation to highlight and try to move them for others.
