There is no way to justify Ozil, Draxler and Gorezka as being better for the national team! I think I could accept Reus getting the nod over him. Even Muller, because he offers a stamina and defensive contribution that not many players do. I'd even be willing to accept Brandt being in the squad because he;s really young and good for his age.
But Ozil, Draxler and Goretzka?? People are busting Sane for not playing very well for the national team. He's recently turned 22! 6 of his 12 caps came when he was 19 or 20, didn't have the great seasons with Man City. So let's not count those. In the other 6 caps that he had this year he provided 1 assist.

Let's see what the other "great" players did for the national team in the last year:

Draxler: 1 goal and 1 assist in 8 matches.
The guy barely has 6 goals and 6 assists in 2600 minutes played as left wing for the national team (that's worse than 1 in 200 minutes). He's 24 not 22 like Sane and is not that good at club level either.

Goretzka: 1 goal in 4 matches played as right midfielder for the national team. Seriously? That 1 goal in a 6-0 trashing of Norway counts more than all that Sane has done the entire season for Machester City??? 14 goals and 19 assists??

Brandt: 1 assist in 5 matches for the national team.

Where's the fairness in that???

You're quoting stats that actually disprove your own point, because Sane has 0 goals and 1 assist in 12 games for the national team, therefore contributing less than any of the players you have mentioned above.

And on the subject of age, this is completely irrelevant at international level ... what is needed in tournament football is instant results and ideally (not all the time) experience.

Despite Ozil getting a lot of abuse since he's been at Arsenal, he has consistently been one of Germany's best players in the last few tournaments and if you suggested to any German that he be replaced by Sane I think they'd probably think you were inSane.

You're not getting it. Sane has come of age this year. He doesn't need to grow anymore. He is at maximum level NOW to provide for instant results.

I was talking about his national team matches at the age of 19 when I said he he wasn't fully developed yet.

I believe anyone is more qualified than a person who leaves Leroy Sane out of his squad. Why do you think all these managers became managers? Do you think they are really smart or good at what they do? No. It's mostly about connections and influence, Low became manager of Stuttgart because he had played for that team and the owner knew him and became national team manager because Klinsmann had met him years earlier at a coaching school.

Mourinho became manager because he had connections with Bobby Robson. Most former players become managers because they were big players and have influence. What has Lampard done in managing to deserve being named as Derby County manager?

You have excelled yourself with some of the bull**** you have come out with on here.
Do you honestly think Low would have kept this job for 12 years if he was a scam? World Cup winner not Championship Manager winner.
This may come as a surprise to you but I personally rate Low more of a manager than you and if he feels Sane isn't ready for his squad that will do for me.
To say they had no-one to beat in 2014 is ridiculous

Getting too close to the World Cup to be interested in players that the Germans haven’t picked. F*ck em. All about England. Kane top goal scorer and England to win the World Cup double. Put your house on it. It’s coming home , it’s coming home
Even named our new puppy ‘pickles’ just in case the cup goes missing.

Sane is clearly a talented player but to suggest he’s at his maximum level already is ridiculous. He still has so much to learn with decision making and more importantly tactically, at 22 years old it is impossible to have learnt everything therefore meaning he is not at his maximum potential – you only have to watch him against Fosu-Mensah at Selhurst and both legs against Liverpool in the Champions League to realise there’s still a lot for him to improve on.

A quick browse online and it seems it’s not just his football that has kept him out the squad:

If I remember correctly, Sane had a perfectly good goals wrongly disallowed in the match against Liverpool in the Champions League, which could have made all the difference.

He also scored 3 in the direct macthes against Liverpool in the Premier League. 2 assists against Spurs, 1 goal and 1 assist against Arsenal, 1 assist against Man United, 2 assists against Napoli.
Goals against Arsenal, Spurs and Monaco in the Champions League last year, gals and assists against Borussia Dortmund, Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.

And many more agaist lower teams. It may be a fluke once or twice, but he has played very well in matches against top opponents in the last year and a half every time he had them.

I can understand some in this country viewing Sane's omission with incredulity given his performances for Man C.

Sane started both of Germany's recent friendles against Brazil and Austria and they lost both games.Presumably if he had sufficiently impressed Low he would have been selected - Low did say it was a close call and he sees players play for both club and country.

Low has been criticised on here - Under him, Germany have not failed to reach at least a semi-final in 5 tournaments and is the first coach of a European country to win the WC in S.America.He actually might know something about coaching and selecting players at International level !

Sane played better than most against Brazil and Austria. Low even said that he did his defensive contribution really well, it had nothing to do with him not picking him. He just thinks Brandt and Goretzka- as a winger- are better!!

In respect to your other point, everyone would have taken Germany to the semifinals the last 3 World Cups. Is that such a big acomplishment? Is it a big accomplishment if Real Madrid or Bayern reach the semifinals of the Champions League 3 times in a row??

It would have take a total idiot not to reach at least the semis with Germany. What if this time they don't make it past the first 16? Will you agree with me that Low's a total *****?

No I don't share your viewpoint at all about Low and his record with Germany
Totally disagree with you on this.

And to reach the CL Semi-finals in successive seasons is still a worthy achievement given the quality of the teams.

Clearly you believe that any manager can achieve titles on a regular basis if that team is somewhat high-profile.Perhaps Real Madrid will go for FDB !

To save you further embarrassment by constant hole digging, I shall agree to disagree with you and concentrate my efforts on other subjects rather than respond to any of your further dis-crediting of the German national team manager. We have both made our views patently clear, we are on 'Opposite sides of the house' so there is really nothing of any value to add.

Totally agree with you Willo. I cannot believe some of his comments, presumably he feels Pardew would have won the Champions League with Bayern or the World Cup with Germany😂
