We've had 2 transfer windows since the last accounting period ended so whilst a slight concern it is a red herring regarding transfer activity.

Additionally any money owed to rival clubs in the uk is a protected creditor. They will get their money regardless.

With such a high wage bill and with excessive spending over the last few years we need to be careful but money will still be available for the right player, if assuming his current club are willing to sell.

Transfer activity in World Cup years is often quite slow until the tournament is finished.

And for some reason Premier league clubs to close the window a month early. Starting this window.

Ok apart from Arsenal, Brighton, Huddersfield, Leicester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Watford and Wolves what else did the Romans ever do for us

Transfer fees that only work in multiples of ten?

yes i must say i am also a bit concerned about the lack of concrete links and lack of bids or offers , has to be said though i dont think any player would want to come to a club that has not handed in its financial whatever and is threatened with a winding down whatever . but hey this is palace, nothing is easy . i wouldnt be surprised if we signed no one as we finished so strong and that is probably how SP is looking at it also.

oh yeah ,fcuk off brighton.

Its typical of Steve Parrish really, just like our transfer deslings he will leave things to the very last minute

Hope Steve has learnt from the farcical non event last window when he " narrowly " missed his intended targets at the last minute, other than bringing in 3 unknowns,2 of which are yet to make their debuts.

Hoping he makes some early signings this time round but not holding my breath.

What part does Dougie actually play in all of this??

Steve P doesn't even refill the ink pen until August so enjoy the world cup and have a look at transfer talk then.

The ups and downs of Palace have left me older than my years

Signing some (albeit very good) championship players once for us ages ago. Not having nearly the same effect at Forest or Bolton.

As unsure as you.

With a cautiously deep breathe i will say that... I am not that worried if we did not sign anyone, because....

* Benteke cannot get any worse. A vague return to form is like a new signing.

* Sörloth hasn't got going yet, and looks OK to me.

* Wickham, with luck, will be a notable addition once match fit.

* IF we cannot sign anyone, then we must not lose any significant players, like Cabaye

* Surely we won't have the same amount of injuries as last year!

Clearly a lack of investment is not ideal, amd we do need to replace TFM and RLC.

Is there any news of what is actually happening with Rakip or have I missed him going back?
