If the card is stacked then I'd be ok with ppv. For me it's always about the card with a ppv.

Whyte and Parker are top five and that's worthy of a watch.

We are living through a good era of heavyweights and Hearn and Sky have done remarkable things for boxing in the country.

I have been meaning to mention this. Sky has an odd business model for PPV. I am not a Sky subscriber but there have been times when I wanted to buy the PPV fight. Unless it has changed in the last couple of months you cannot do this. I am a BT customer but they do not offer Sky PPV. I tried NOW TV but they don't either. Very strange that Sky complains about piracy but doesn't allow occasional customers access to PPV unless they are a Sky client.

L!VE TV knew how to get men watching women's sport.

Normally I'd complain that they don't even do the the same amount of work, like with grand slam tennis, but in boxing's case if it gets them out of the ring quicker, all the better.

So I have such a high ego that I believe I should be dubbed "Everest" ?
Really ? There is lot about myself I don't reveal on here and a lot I could post but refrain from doing so.

I have defended my corner (Very apt in this thread) so let's get back to discussing Whyte v Parker, a fight I am looking forward to.We are all sick to the back teeth of threads with me the centre of attention.Thanks.

Now it becomes clear as to why Joshua didn't batter Parker. They had another nice little money spinner planned for him with Whyte, which of course will lead to another fight with Joshua for either man, probably Whyte.

You gotta love boxing.

If you think AJ went into that fight with that mindset you're mad. "I won't knock this guy out so Eddie and Dillian get can another payday out of him". He didn't batter him, because he didn't need to. Parker wasn't interested in a fight, he wanted to go 12 rounds and nothing more.

If he'd hung his chin out or been up for it, AJ would've KO'd him.

There are very few decent heavyweights that can pull a crowd. Hearn and co are running a little circus and making money is their main objective. Sport comes second.

Needs either Khan or brook on the show to make it ppv worthy, tho not seen any news from either camps about any possible opponents and both more likely to top their own bills at the end of the year. Only shows matchroom have planned is Newcastle with Josh Kelly so it should be a pretty packed card but like someone else has said unless it's for a world title at the very least it shouldn't be ppv. Pretty sure the deal Hearn has with sky is to provide so many ppv shows a year and their stable ain't really too great at the moment so seems like any boxer your casual fan could name will be on ppv which is a joke.

Isn't that capitalism? I mean, no one is made to pay.

If the shows don't make money then they lose out, not the boxers who receive an agreed purse.

Before Hearn....and though it pains me to say it..Sky....Boxing was nowhere in this country.....Now the Americans come to us for paydays.

Unless it's a (decent)title fight, then no way should it be PPV, it's bad enough you ripped off with BT Sports and Sky for Prem games.
