Speaking ill of the dead is poor form but I could never understand how a convicted murdered could become a soap star.
Surely that is the worst crime of all.

Having served his sentence I guess the BBC took the view that everyone is entitled to a second chance. It's a pity that they don't seem as tolerant to others as they did to him.

One racially offensive comment and no matter how much that person apologies and goes on racial awareness courses, makes amends etc. they are finished at the Beeb.

I don't have an issue with him turning his life around I wish others could do so as well. I just like pointing out the BBC hypocrisy.

It is absurd double standards. The irony was that he was sacked for a bit of webcam willy waving.
This was all before the media went PC crazy of course.

I always thought that to. In truth he was a poor actor which is why he never did anything else apart from Eastenders and panto.... However rest in peace.

Don't waste your time with jealousy. Sometimes your ahead, sometimes your behind, the race is long. But in the end it's only with yourself!!

Early EastEnders this guy had it.

Shame about Den and Angie.......those actors played that scenario out brilliantly.

The show lost something after he fell into the canal.

Oh, his roles in panto didn't always go down too well with the ladies:

During his internet chats with the 23-year-old blonde, the actor is said to have branded Jessie Wallace a "vile dog", Shane Richie "big-headed and self-infatuated", Kim Medcalf "a block of wood... thick" and Wendy Richard a "w***er"

You have to admit.....old Leslie certainly called a spade a spade.

Perhaps not the nicest though....then again, I doubt many would find the Richie description as a shocker.

in the BBC to hold a non PC opinion is way way worse than being a convicted murderer ( shotgun)...or so it would seem.
