in the BBC to hold a non PC opinion is way way worse than being a convicted murderer ( shotgun)...or so it would seem.

God ain't that the truth.

A wrong opinion and they are clutching their pearls so hard their suspender belts snap.

I think it says something about the odd morality we have when the likes of Saville, Harris and Glitter are now national pariahs for sex crimes while at the same time we are having a tribute to a man who shot someone in the head during a robbery.
As nasty as sex crimes can be, surely they are not in the same category as blasting someone in the head with a shotgun.
Now we are all protective of our children, or at least we should be and I get that it is an emotive subject for that reason but regardless, this 'he has done his time thing' for murderers really doesn't wash with me. Will Gary Glitter be afforded the same courtesy when or if he gets out?

Early EastEnders this guy had it.

Shame about Den and Angie.......those actors played that scenario out brilliantly.

The show lost something after he fell into the canal.

Yes; its credibility.

Also was in The Paradise Club alongside the guy who played in the original Boon.

Don Henderson.

The first series also featured the exquisite Kitty Aldridge as a Met Police detective. Well, she was exquisite then; I don't know about now. God I had the hots for her!

Another feature I remember was that every opportunity was taken to include long shots of 'Canary Wharf tower' under construction, which rather dates the show, I guess.

You have a point of course. I just enjoyed the character. Did he deserve the second chance?.....Not if he'd shot a member of my family he wouldn't. He wouldn't have last long coming out.

the term 'dirty den' takes on a whole new meaning when you imagine somebody seated in the passenger seat of a taxi and all spattered in blood, brains & gore.
