Maybe he was and that's where the physiology of religion comes from.

Nobody even knows what an astroNAUGHT is but an astroNAUT might provide some real answers = don't bother applying for Countdown....

Mmm teacher eh!
I would guess quite a slow one.
I do believe that's been done already.
Don't worry you can catch up during detention.
While I'm watching countdown.

Of course, Sporty was too modest to point out that the word ‘Astronaut’ is a compound word with Latin and Greek roots. ‘Astro’ - as in Astronomy, Astrology; and ‘Naut’ - as in Nautical. The word basically means ‘Star-sailor’. I don’t make this as an academic point, but one that’s a reminder of the spelling,

Space travel has historically been thought of as akin to seafaring. Well before any were actually invented, space vehicles were called ‘SpaceSHIP’ or SpaceCRAFT’.

I'd suggest you watch the tv series Ancient Aliens which is built on this premise. Plenty of interesting material which would suggest the same.

I have watched both "ancient aliens" and "ancient aliens debunked" documentary.
For me, the latter is far more viable, while the first just seems like a book promotion for the presenters - as their books are mentioned in every episode through out the series.

My thoughts that it's more like a time traveller. Espicially if you think about Christianity. Jesus is said to rise again or is it just that he will be born and then travel back in time with future technology to perform the so called miracles.

It makes far more sense than the guff that religious types spout. The religious approach is to explain everything away by using the 'certainty' of God as a starting point and fitting the facts around it.
Totally daft.
This doesn't make the astronaut theory true though.

Nice generalisation about "religious types". Pity it's wrong.

I use the complexity and intricacy and natural order of creation as a starting point and deduce that it's unlikely to be an accident. But I'm fairly sure that you've classified me as "religious types".
