I think this is excellent news. Arguably our most consistent player since we have been in the prem who's shown real versatility over the last 5 years. Not saying he's a guaranteed starter any more, but definitely a player who contributes to our squad.

As I’ve said elsewhere, if we are in for every player linked in the media our transfer budget for this window is way in excess of £100m. Doesn’t take a genius to work out most, if not all of it, is made up or BS.
