His tarick?

Apologies, I’m still thinking about the Tunisia game. His Tarick is their reserve keeper.

My feel is we all think great got an "easier" route and then go out and produce an Iceland type performance.

Mind you we'd have Harry Kane up front to knock a couple in rather than taking a corners which would help!

Something is bound to go wrong - its England!

I have always felt that you should play to win regardless of circumstances, but in this case it would be crazy to want to top the group. I usually think it's best to win for confidence going into the second round, but since Martinez will rest many of his top players we won't get much satisfaction out of a win. If we field a weak eleven, play for the draw (we know Belgium wont play for the win so that's easy) and foul like crazy (since that's what 1st and 2nd place will go down to) then we'll be fine. For the first time ever I say forget playing to win, one look at the route to the semis tells you that would be insane.

Don’t you think Belgium will want to do the same?

Always play to win. Momentum is massive, see it every year when the 3 promoted clubs do well.
Fortune favours the brave.

Lets just play Jones and Cahill at the back, let them both get sent off for taking out Hazard and Lukaku, lose 1-0 to an own goal, job done.

Note to self: always check the table before commenting. Could have sworn we had more cards than Belgium. Now I'm nervy about finishing top! Martinez will definitely do all he can to finish second.

It's the only way! On another note, this Brazil side is so poor compared to teams of previous tournaments. The likes of Rivaldo, Ronaldo, Ronaldinho and Carlos would make the likes of Neymar look distinctly average if they were still playing. It's easy to overdo it when talking about dodging Brazil, but the second place route to the final is clearly the better path.

We should play for second place. That's going to be quite tricky to achieve though.. play a second team at least. They can rack up the cards if nothing else..

If these pundits don’t understand how a team can’t go into a game without trying to win then they should watch Puncheon et al versus West Brom and and Hull after reaching 40 points in the 14/15 season under Pardew.

I think we should play to win and build momentum. If we go out with the mentality of wanting to lose, it’s bound to bite us on the arse.

Regarding changes, leave the keeper, back three for more time to gel and to test them against quality opposition and Kane to keep his scoring streak and match sharpness going, but bring him off after 60 mins.

A good performance with a couple of extra yellows then Belgium and a score draw would probably be the best outcome.
