I believe that what I said was not that one did not need to do research but rather that I did not need to do any research to confirm that you could not substantiate the claims that you making at the time as they were statistically impossible. Hope that clarifies it for you and glad to have helped to improve your citation of sources.

I take it you know this from the research you didn't do. Correction did not need to do

You seem unable to comprehend that some statements, such as yours, are so obviously absurd that they require no further investigation to establish that fact.

Can you get off my hook, line and sinker. You're just embarrassing yourself.
My last absurd statement from urban dictionary, waranted an investigation from you out of the blue. From your username I'm guessing your a gamer. I suggest to you - go and try to score some points from your console, instead of your childish attempts with me.
Now stick to the topic you boring...

The people I follow have far larger audiences than he does yet I wouldn't make that argument as evidence for being right. So hence that point is a pure dick measuring argument and hence a childish one.

If his arguments in that clip are serious then they are easily shown up as poor logic. Anyone who agrees with them as presented is a shallow thinker.

As an aside, I do wish you learnt how to post properly.

I don’t have the time. I just chime in to rain on your parade every now and again. Gets you out of your little house for an over thought, over the top reply which I just totally dismiss anyway. Surprised you still play along really.

You can rain on my parade. I have an umbrella.

Love Doug Stanhope he makes Frankie Boyle seem tame!!!

Dont be fooled by that clip though, he has no politics on anything, he has said plent of stuff that can be seen as anti left as well.

But for gods sake he is a comedian! He says whatever his audience thinks is funny. You should be able to laugh at someone who takes swipes at your beliefs for comic effect. Dennis Leary is an old school gun waving right winger and I still loved him back then...

Well, I'm kind of with you on that score. Stand up comedy is one of the gauges of freedom in a society.....which is why worrying trends are occurring at US universities with comedians refusing to perform there. Also, unfortunately being right wing is discriminated against in the entertainment industry in general....Crowder has said quite a lot about this......Leary, wasan't that right wing and came up in less polarised times.

Stanhope was used in the thread politically, so it was responded to on that level.

However, I'll always support edgy comedians whatever their politics purely on principle......The clown must always be allowed to mock the king.

Good point on the less polarised times, I would be curious about wether or not Al Murray could get away with his routines now or in a more extreme case Roy Chubby Brown. A lot of comedians have said that brexit was the first subject where they had to start sizing up their audience before starting their routine as people would genuinly be outraged and storm out.
As someone who loves comedy its really frustrating that people are doing the 'you can take the piss out of stuff, but only if I agree with you...' thats not how its supposed to work...

I agree of course.

Comedians don't have to be political of course, but it shouldn't be restricted. Essentially comedy should be open to all.

Left, right or apathetic.....if someone has the gift of humour they are a benefit to the world.

No one's forced to watch or attend.

Right wing comedy or comedians are discriminated against.

They hide...if they exist at all. I only know of one who is pro Brexit and he's hardly on TV...can't remember his name.

I think the last known right wing comic that appeared regularly that I can think of is Jim Davidson.

There's one more but I can't remember his name and he hasn't been on TV for decades.

Doesn’t age very well Jim Davison’s brand of comedy.
