Which seats/row/stand should I consider to get the best atmosphere/view as a neutral?

I heard good about the Arthur Wait stand, is U/W section any good? Also which row would you consider?

First time going to England to watch some soccer and it seems like it's going to be at Selhurst Park!

You are going to be quite restricted as to where tickets are available.

If you can, block M of the Holmesdale Upper Tier, as close as possible to the front, would be my recommendation.

Block V in the Arthur Wait can have good views and being next to the away fans could have a decent atmosphere, depending on who the visiting fans are.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Actually, I've paid for a International membership and hopefully we can get some decent seats(?).

Right now I think we are going in February against United, so thinking pretty close to the away fans might deliver some nice atmosphere for us and our first PL game. I don't know exactly how the "priority booking form" looks like as I'm yet to recieve it but you think Block V in the Arthur Wait is alright? What block/row/seats should I definitely avoid?

Thanks alot for the quick reply and the help

Avoid sitting closely behind any post in the AW. The seats get a restricted status if you can not see the goal from the seat, but from all the seats around you have similar issues. If in front of the posts is not available go up to roughly the middle of the height to the top rows if you can. The last few top rows I find horrible watching because of the tv gantry. I avoid if at all possible.

Thanks for the tip but we couldnt choose our seats but the box Office sent me this ”Your seats have been reserved together for the Man Utd match near to the pitch”. (Arthur Wait)
So hopefully we get some decent seats and not the restricted view ones.

How did you reserve seats this early?

First time to Selhurst for me as well. I'm trying to do the same for the Wolves match on October 6th, and I don't see them available for anything past the Newcastle match (Sept 22) on the site...

FWIW, I have an international membership as well.

International members can guarantee their ticket for one home game by contacting the box office to reserve it. This can be as early as you wish if you know what game.

Logic being you can then book your flights with certainty

Best to do it early before they go on sale to everyone else, so you get the best seats possible

Bear in mind that fixtures are subject to change - a game shown as Saturday could be moved for tv and be anything from Friday night to Monday night. So far only August and September fixtures are set by tv.

Fixtures in the last few months of the season are particularly subject to change due to FA Cup rearangements
