Malorie Blackman who is black has joined the Doctor Who writing team so I guess that we will see more emphasis on black people much as we did with gay people when Russell T Davies was writing episodes

The BBC is getting slammed for pay inequality again.

How they can get this so wrong is unbelievable. Having worked for several major corporations it is not difficult to define a pay structure that recognizes skill and experience. I think in entertainment you can also include ratings as a component as well.

So whilst the BBC gets it hopelessly wrong on pay it also manages to screw up a successful show due to gender bias. Simon Mayo had a popular radio 2 program as proved by the rating. However as there aren't enough female radio presenters they dumped him with a co-presenter. The listeners have voted with their feet or should I say ears and Mayo has now decided to leave I can't say I blame him.

By the way I am surprised that the "Trans" community are not up in arms. Shouldn't the new doctor be played by one of them?

Yep, I'm still waiting for the government to introduce some fairness when it comes to the BBC.

I object to having to pay for their politics and agendas.

Forthcoming episodes of Dr Who will feature a 'male able-bodied, christian/atheist, british, white, heterosexual, conservative, with an absence of any medical conditions, middle-class character' ...

well Science Fiction does include much fantasy does it not ?

Now you are just being silly next thing you will suggest that the Daleks are heterosexual when we all know they are gender fluid / bi curious.

BBC is at it again trying to waste our money that is.

HMRC currently has the Beeb under investigation because it pushed its stars into setting up their own companies to avoid tax mainly National Insurance. This is common practice in the industry even though they are in really permanent employees.

The BBC has now very kindly offered to HMRC to settle the outstanding tax bills of all its stars. What a wonderful magnanimous gesture with OUR money. So far no news on whether HMRC has accepted this.

What should happen is that BBC is responsible for its tax bill and the stars for theirs. I don't hold them responsible for tax dodging that is the BBC who need to be held accountable. The stars should still pay back the tax they would have paid if they were regular employees.

The BBC's generosity knows no bounds.

Some random woman wants to take her kid to work and finds child care expensive. Is this seriously news,?

Perhaps we should set up a funding page for Carey? On the other hand she could just pay for a nanny from her own millions.

I agree non news story, why are the media obsessed with the thoughts of celebs who live in a bubble separate from the rest of us. Childcare costs is a serious issues for many people in the UK this just trivialises it.

It's more cultural Marxism promoted by the BBC, playing identity politics and pitting men against women with the woman being the 'victim'.
