I thought they'd surely ask 20 after his wonderful season. He was terrific against Chelsea and even against Barcelona and Liverpool, which speaks volumes about his ability to play against Premier League teams. He's a hard working player, runs a lot, able to play anywhere up front: left wing, right wing, centre forward, second striker. At just 25 or 26 this fee would be great for an investment. He hasn't been injured in a long time, so any injuries are behind him. AS Roma is going with Turkish teen Under, Justin Kluivert and one new signing which should have been Malcom (but they lost him to Barcelona) and will now probably be one of David Neres and Leon Bailey, both valued at around 50 million. So they're willing to let El Shaarawy go, even though I personally think manager Eusebio di Francesco is making a mistake.

Looks very impressive - really quick and versatile

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Just AC Torino and Fiorentina in for him. Palace can compete with mid-table Italian clubs. Fee is rather small. Only problem would be his salary, he's on 98k a week in Rome, he'd probably want the same, wouldn't be willing to accept a pay cut.

But he's a player who is worth it. In 2-3 years you'd be selling him to a top 6 PL club for more than his transfer fee and his salary combined. And he would have scored a lot of goals for you by then too! He just needs to be put on the pitch and into the spotlight!

having seen hime live many times at Milan this guy is too lightweight for the prem. had half a good season with Milan then everyone realised he was doing the same thing. plays on left, right footed, cut in and hit it top bins every time.
Right backs just stuck him down the line onto his left foot!!
not good enough

Sure, that's all Cristiano Ronaldo does too, the right backs have certainly read him too and will isolate him every time!

Not soar a little that he is playing for Roma rather than Milan? El Shaarawy had in the last 2 seasons more goals and assists than any Milan player, whether we're talking about Suso, Cutrone or Calhanoglu, who Milan would ask 30 million for.

And frail he is not. He's one of the toughest and most fighting players in the Serie A. Not sure why you'd say that.

the sticking point here is that we seem to have no change down the back of the sofa...however, if we find some money to spend he would be a nice addition to the top half of the team

Comparing Ronaldo to SES is ridiculous!
I don't care where he plays. Milan do not miss him. He is light and easily bullied off the ball. He will end up in the MLS like Giovinco.
Roma got sitched up when we sold him.
I've seen him live many times. He's just not that good!
