There is no obligation to hold another referendum whatsoever.

unless the people want one, which is looking much more likely as each week passes. Still, enjoy the sensation of all of that sand around your head.

Tell that to the NHS where thousands of qualified staff who are EU citizens have already left. I hope you staying fit and healthy.

Provide free training and exams, pay them more, hire them on full time contracts and not on inflated temp rates. No need to devalue the profession and import cheap labour.

Or maybe 50 years according to JRM

That would be conservative estimate of 12500000 arrivals.
Of course, 50 years is nonsense because the world population will have increased enormously by then. More and more will arrive and we haven't even touched on their offspring.

Can you imagine a summer where it is 95 degrees like today and the water is rationed and the power is being cut because it can't keep up with the demand to run air conditioners and fans? Oh, and there is no drink on the supermarket shelves because those 100 million people living here bought it all up.

Paid for by the taxpayer? Not sure that is what these ideological brexiteers have mind.

I have prepared one of my own time capsules. I have placed some rather large samples of dynamite, gunpowder and nitroglycerin. My time capsule is set to go off in the year 3000. It will show them what we are really like.

The people?

The people don't get a say in when we have a referendum.
This is the most spurious argument ever, prompted only because Remain lost the vote.

Pathetic.

EU citizens working in the NHS are paid exactly the same as any British citizen in the same grade and position.

So why don't those touting Brexit also state that taxes will rise to pay for such 'enhancements' to the NHS?

I'm no psephologist, but I would suggest that the winning party in virtually every UK Election that's been held over the past 60 years finds itself trailing in the opinion polls within a year or so.

But the supporters of the losing party don't then start bleating on: "People didn't understand what they were voting for"; "The voters were misled"; "We know much more now"; "Things have changed"; "So we must rerun the Election".

The remoaners, however, rely entirely on that baloney to justify their demands for another referendum on the EU.

I don't particularly like the Observer - too left wing for me. But I do highly respect their commentator Andrew Rawnsley. Or at least I did until last Sunday, when even he spouted this self-serving rubbish. Goodness help us.

It's 100% relevant as there is also no minimum time limit to hold another referendum for the same vote. Enjoy.

Dont you get to wait 40 odd years like we had too?

It is clear that any measure of Brexit will not be possible for a generation. Why would anyone sensible doubt that or expect anything else?
I suppose in this world of short attention spans and short termism it is hardly a surprise that some dumbos expect an overnight transformation.
This was a decision for the long term. The population problem will have to be recognised and tackled sooner rather than later if Britain is to resemble anything like it does now.

Nope, they wait for the next general election which is a maximum of 4 years away but on average only 2 years away. End of this year will be 2 1/2 years since the EU referendum, so no difference whatsoever.

The problem with those who voted to leave is that they know that the majority of people now have changed their mind based on actual information and experience of what's being negotiated. They're so frightened now that people have some knowledge of what the true impact is likely to be that they continuously spout that 'the people have chosen'. Well, 'the people look like they've changed their mind' and poepl like you can't stand their right (and a very democratic one) to do so.

If you are so confident that 'the people' still wat out of the EU, what's the problem with having a referendum to make sure that is the case?

Evidence?

Don't be ridiculous. It's like getting a facelift and then changing your mind halfway through the operation because it hurts a bit.
