To say the HF/noise/atmosphere/whatever helps get results is a myth.
You only have to look at our home form last two or three years.
Creating noise makes for a more enjoyable experience for spectators. A professional will shut the outside influences out and concentrate on their performance.
Its actually laughable to suggest or even hint that the HF are instrumental in the teams results

If they do or don't may be debatable but I wouldn't say it's laughable to suggest.
Whilst pros do try to block out outside influences how do explain the fact that teams generally do better at home than away over the course of a season. The ball and pitch are the same however the size of your support is what has changed which would add weight against what you claim to be laughable.

Apart from the drum. I disagree the drum made Selhurst more enjoyable.

They snuck in at the end with toolboxes and removed all the seats from not only block E but F as well.

FFS, can't believe it's come this...I hope both club and the HF can work something out soon or atleast in time for the 19/20 season.

The first few games might be alright but after two months-the only voices we will possibly hear will be from the Aurthur!

Crap!

The ball is, the pitch isn't. They all vary in length and width, quality of playing surface, amount of water, etc., etc. If there is a 'home bias' (which is debateable in Palace's case), it's more likely to do with familiarity of surroundings than anything else. If atmosphere, at home, was that significant a factor, we'd have had a whole better results at SP in recent seasons.

Oh.....
Really.....

So they've disbanded, but they've not disbanded. They just want the people to know they have disbanded, but really they haven't?

Now, I'm not sure if this situation is crazy, or maybe I'm just crazy!

What does disbanded even mean?

The hf have gone...

But really they're still here.

Maybe in a different area (not the one they wanted, but one they have now chosen!)

Maybe more colourful (as not to be recognised!)

Maybe more mute, and stern looking, with arms folded (because them cheering and shouting should earn them soecial rights, which they don't think they're getting!)

For all the good they did.

This really is a load of bollocks.

Almost as embarrassing as that fortress selhurst display.

Lets all just support Palace, how we do, the way we do.
Our support was what got us noticed in our 1st season back in the premier league.
Proper fans, cheering some proper s*** football, no matter what.
We, as a whole, did lift the team.
And that's f***ing epic.
It wasn't just 50 kids in black primarny hoodies.

We have got a bit moany as fans, wanting/expecting a bit too much at times (demanding multimillion pound signings and European football!)
That's just the curse of the league we're in.
And as great as the hf have been at times, they too have become a bit of a clichè.

Maybe it does all need a bit of a shake up.

Maybe we should all just be grateful that we are still in the top flight.

We are lucky to be here.

We could've just lost to Leeds today!

But....

We didn't.

We are Palace.

We ARE premier league.

Now lets go make some f***ing noise!!!!

To me me it’s always been about the buzz of the atmosphere. From a young boy to a mature man of 54, it’s always been this that’s attracted me to football. The game itself can be very boring without the passion of the crowd. There’s no doubt as a football team Palace over the years haven’t been the best. I’ve always liked to think though our passionate fans are better than the rest but in reality historically we haven’t been any different. For once in our history the HF have made us stand out from the rest. I really can’t see why people can’t see this and I’m so disappointed if the rumours are true and they have packed up.

Totally agree with above post .Could be our most exciting season ever and anyone who thinks we won’t miss them is mistaken .But don’t understand why a solution wasn’t found although we can’t just move season ticket holders around for there preference. Again If true supporters could they not have waited for ground improvements then it might have been easier to accommodate them .
