It's about the greater good.. if the set up next year works and is a success, then it will be worth it for the many. If it basically resembles what we had before, but behind the goal, then it'll be a joke of an insult - shifting 50 meters to the middle and for what??

Personally the HF should be at SP for every game now on as i would assume the battle is won.

If Steve Parish is going to give this part of E block exclusively to the Ultras then it is his biggest mistake since taking over the club!
Basically he would be giving in to blackmail and that just leaves you wide open to more of the same. Whenever the Ultras don’t get their way in future they’ll just stop singing until the club gives in.

The treatment of existing ST holders in block E is disgusting.

The atmosphere so far this season has been less vociferous but is that due to no Ultras or is it down to the team not scoring a single goal so far ! Get the team scoring and entertaining us and the atmosphere will come back.

Finally can we stop referring to these Ultras as fans? True fans don’t blackmail their club and they don’t wear non club colours. This lot are just copying the Italian Ultras so let’s just call them that - Ultras!

From his interview on FYP podcast..

A fan has emailed in to say how exciting the singing section will be and how can he be a part of it..

Umm, err, yes, absolutely. We broadly have the people we want in there. There may be a few left and if interested write to the club.
Sees it as organic, as people in rows nearer the front might not want to sit in front of the HF and theses can be taken up by 'singers'. Eventually we want a wall of sound...

So where have these 'people we want in there come from? I wonder. ...

Exactly. Some people have got their hands on really good seats without lifting a finger. Where is the transparency of this 'Seat Grab' for better fans ?

Its a business.

Sorry to say that but it is the bottom line in the Premier League these days. The fact is you get no credits at all for being loyal fans in this day and age. If you did, this wouldn't be happening.

The HF are plastered all over the screens here when NBC do coverage of Palace games, and the high quality displays they do also get a lot of air time.

CEO4TAG is ad man, he comes from a marketing background. The HF differentiate Palace from any other side in the league and help to attract new fans from around the world, its a fact. As I learned on the FYP pod Parish even uses their image on merchandise he sells?

The HF got lucky that this spat coincides with a really poor run at home, no goals in 4 games etc. That is p&ss poor, even when you think about last year, its still p&ss poor. This allowed them to get more support than they probably would have, and they got a lot of sigs on a petition.

Parish is something of a one off in terms of Premier League chairmen, but even he could not sack off the HF for the sake of not seriously upsetting a different group of fans. I doubt any other PL chairman would ultimately have reached a different decision, alas they probably would have handled it a LOT better than old Steve did and sorted it out a lot sooner, with more transparency on proceedings.

Parish is as Parish does.

If they come back for the next home game and we win, think I'll stay off these boards for a while 😅

What happens when flares are let off by HF first game after they return and the club has to take action? Do they then throw their dummies out the pram again and say "we're not coming" to the next game? Who actually runs this club now?

What does one actually have to do to get approval to join the HF's singing section? X-factor style auditions? who has access to the best fireworks? who's got the most black in their wardrobe?

It's a complete joke...an all-inclusive singing section should be exactly that.......all-inclusive...not the sole property of a bunch of jumped-up little pricks...

organic means more people get pushed out of their seats because they don't want to be near these obnoxious arseholes......

Utter tripe from a 'fan' that lives in the States and I doubt has ever had to sit/stand next to the HF

I think that's fairly obvious, and it ain't Parish, Blitzer or Harris.

This, ME, is a very good post.

Bearing mind where you are, your take as an 'outsider' looking in(if you get my drift), is a very good take on what's happening with SP/American owners. Its all about marketing & CPFC brand worldwide.
