I can't be wrong as all you do is repeat the HF demands.

Irate of Cheam or Sutton has as much right to be heard. Other season ticket holders in area have a right to be heard too. It would be interested how and who you wanted Club to consult? In my mind if after the original contact with HF the club had decided that it should have been taken forward then some sort of formal contact with those affected would have taken place. Reading between the lines I think it had failed before that point ie there was clear indication that many people objected.

You have your own views and I respect your right to have them. You need to respect that other people think you are very wrong and that you are unwilling to debate solutions which fall short of HF demands

Demands for more than inaction? Yes I do support those HF demands.

‘And now if you read the BBS since those HF proposals were released recently, which should’ve been originally but weren’t, you’ll see the reaction wouldn’t have been quite the same as the one you think happened after reading between the lines.’ I.e - pure conjecture from you.

The last sentence is confused pompous rubbish. Again, the HF are protesting inaction, and I agree with them on that. The debate has started since their disbanding and the call for consultations and seeing if there’s a possibile solution has happened. Some don’t want that. Funny that.

I think you miss the point.

1) The atmosphere is worse without them.
2) It is bad for the club.

If you disagree with either then have another prawn sandwich.

I don't miss the point . It was the HF decision not to renew season tickets not the Club's. In my view they should have stayed put while discussions continued.

We all want what is best for club and a solution to be found. Moving the HF to block E is not a solution for all the reasons that people have given. The only practical solution is to move them back to Block B but according to the "informed" sources - this has been turned down

Discussions weren’t continuing. The club didn’t bother gauging opinion with the proposal or consult anyone properly. They decided after amateurish handling of it. That’s their protest. If it fails after that then I’ll agree with you again.

To be fair, at no point did I claim to be speaking for you or anyone else.

I would like to apologise if I gave that impression.

Not sure I did though.

On the positive side, I'm happy if I made you laugh, even if you were just laughing in a sinister way.

Oh ok well if YOU'D rather do that then of course the rest of us must do the same. I mean, Why didn't you say so at the beginning!
Problem is, many many others feel completely differently to you because they rejected CPFC's polite request to move.
Makes me laugh when people say I'd rather this and I'd do that. Like thats the answer because they thought of it therefore we all have to agree!

The HF have shot themselves in the foot.
They thought they were superior to other Palace supporters, which of course they're not.
If they had been a little patient, instead of expecting to get what they want straight away, they could have got what they wanted in a couple of seasons.
Now they are homeless, and it's all their own fault.

When is the opening day/first game of the new stand, including both halves, not the back half only?

When does ‘safe standing’ officially come in?

A review of safe standing is ongoing but in view of Hillsborough prosecutions will not be very visible. The views of the Hillsborough Families is very important and they have asked not to be consulted until after the cases. A best guess is that Safe standing trials will start in 2020/1. Palace are likely to be one of first clubs to want to trial this. So I would have thought a section of ground will be safe standing for that season. There would need to be consultation with fans in affected parts and alternative seats found where appropriate.

New stand has a likely completion in 2021, ready to open for the 2021-2 season.

So I think HF have to wait 2 or 3 years. However unless safe standing is all of Holmesdale then It would in all probability be at back of all blocks (because of site lines of seated areas) or all of one block (probably B).

I am following the debate both here and on the BBS, occasionally posting in both.

I feel very sad that the fanbase is so split on this, and some fans have such a strong dislike of the HF's

Many fans beyond the HF Ultras would no doubt have loved to have been in a 3 block singing section, like there was at Wembley

I personally feel the club didn't handle the whole thing at all well, and now we are seeing the frustrated HF trying to put pressure on through the media.

I genuinely hope that a solution can be found, and that the club were genuinely asking for suggestions in the hope that a way around this could be found.

I do believe that this will eventually happen, whether it is just for cup games for now, until safe standing or the stadium redevelopment is finished

The fans in the centre blocks of the lower tier won't be there forever in my opinion because sooner or later it will be possible, and the club do want to facilitate this, even if it is not possible now.

By my reckoning, about a third of fans in the whole ground will have to move seats at one time or another when the ground is redeveloped, so nothing is forever.

For what it's worth, for this to work, the HF will need to somehow become less formal and open up to anyone who wants to be involved if it is to spread across blocks. There are at most a couple of hundred of them, and spreading out will dilute the effect without the participation of others who are perhaps not fully on board with some aspects of their project. I think this whole thing has damaged their image to a degree with other sections of the fan base which may make that more difficult.

An interesting question would be how would the HF have reacted should another section of supporters (let's say disabled supporters of those who want to be in a section with no standing) were to say "the front of B would be perfect for us" and suggest moving the HF?

The problem is people are speaking from a really emotionally point of view, rather than letting rational & logic take centre stage. Its painfully obvious how much worse the atmosphere is without them, however if you sit in Main Stand/Family Stand that wont affect your experience as much as those who stand in the Lower Hol (for example). It really comes down to the club not taking the situation by the scruff of its neck & resolving it when in advance. Either way, there needs to be some sort of resolution here because we all lose out, including the players (and if you dont think it 'influences' the players you are just as dellusional as the rest).
