I dont see how they can this season, as many have said already theres not enough available seats for them all to return to block b. It will be next season now. Such a shame

He can’t prove it, because several professional footballers have actually directly contradicted his assumption - correctly called an assumption.

Why would ex Palace player Alex McCarthy publicly state that Selhurst was an easier place to come to without the noise and atmosphere that the HF help to generate?

What posisble reason would McCarthy have to lie about this topic? He is even ex palace.

Easier place to come to = opposition players more comfortable = easier to play against us = they play better.

I think Alex was saying it does have an impact on what happens on the pitch.

...several...out of ??? and then you quote him saying "easier place to come to"...on what basis is it easier...the traffic, because the folk of South Norwood are more welcoming...???

...i mean come on that is desperate!

As I said it cant be proved EITHER WAY

Several meaning Alex McCarthy and our entire playing staff as per the chairman’s match programme for Wolves.

You can read for yourself exactly what McCarthy said, here:

Yes it’s an intangible mostly but also yes several players have cited the importance indicating it would affect performances on the pitch.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

Thank you, and as such no one should be stating it as a FACT, which I know you didnt.

Personally if players come out and suggest it helps influence them (as individuals) then fair enough (regardless of the proof), but then the like of PZ Eagle etc wouldnt like that either!

All the hf are doing is embarrassing themselves, and the club.

Nothing more.

Nothing less.

If the affect of the HF is so massive, I expect them to be sacked next year if we don't qualify for Europe. Not the manager or coaching staff as they appear to be irrelevant.

I kind of agree... now.

Just turn up, support the club - make some noise.

It feels like they are turning up for away games, fair enough.

What the HF need to remember is the longer they leave it, the quicker the rest of the league will forget and move on, rightly so... no one really cares about the Hf, in all honesty - the media were using them to their own gain as promoting the league 'ohhh the premiership, home of giants and passionate fans' cut to the kop, hf etc it was sound bites.

No one but mangers really moan about library stadiums - ofcourse they praise the crowd when they get behind the club but its inevitable and no one cares as long as bums are on seats and cameras are rolling.

I am no longer a ST holder for obvious reasons but I recall when my ST was just below the tv gantry in the AW that we were asked to move to block U due to the away support being moved from those blocks to their present end of the AW. I was a bit put out but had little choice.

That said that is far different from the situation that Wilf King and his colleagues are in. I like Jamesey sympathise with their plight, As a supporter since the very early 60’s the hard core fan deserves more than kind words. It would seem to me that those like Wilf who are being displaced should have at least one free season ticket to compensate their displacement - if not two consecutive ones!

To quote Jamesey, clubs in the ‘loadsadosh’ league can well afford it. Further such ‘expense’ is probably tax deductible anyway!

No one should be made to leave their seat to make way for others.
I have been to away games and been turfed out of my seat by these guys who buy a seat and then move wherever they feel like to stand around their leader who basically faces away from the game for the entire match conducting the singing.
Great atmosphere I grant you but they are not the be all and end all.
As I approach 60 and having supported Palace all of my life I believe that the Club would be very wrong to move people to accomodate a few.
I don't pretend to know all of the facts so forgive me if I have missed something!
