Those 2 blocks are mainly fans who’ve only recently become season ticket holders or ticket bundle purchasers or tourists. Ifmore followed the HF in there from Holmesdale A-D they can get tickets in the Holmesdale but somehow no tourists. Parish could’ve offered something like this if it was just a spreading out desire, but I think some of them probably want to take it the very furthest they can and hand it over to everyone as a collective effort which is fair enough but flouncing has f’ed their efforts and now they’re leaving nothing behind apart from videos and photos.

Ultimately clubs change areas all the time affecting season ticket holders...look at those that move away fan sections on a semi regular basis. As someone else has said, it's early days. It was pretty obvious last night that we had lost something, but I wonder whether the atmosphere was also affected by the fact that we spent about 80% of the first half nearer our own goal than theirs - and then conceded that sickener a minute before half-time. Can someone who was at Fulham tell me how much noise we made in the first half on that occasion, when we were also mainly on the defensive? It's hard to get the crowd up for it in those circumstances. Just a thought.

I think another point people are missing here is the 100 odd seats that the HF want need to be pretty close together... not three here, ten there, two on the other side. So a compulsory purchase would be needed for the land grab. People get very attached to their position – remember turning up early on the terracing to land 'your' spot. It still applies.

It clearly would be great to have the HF back in place,but it would be pretty unfair to say the atmosphere wasn't good last night. A lot of people started chants and this morning's papers comment on the raucous atmosphere. I do miss the guy with the drum, as he could quickly get everyone on the same song-can he be given a ticket!

Hear what you're saying...but the club can do what they like regarding seating and zoning etc...provided that notice is given...and i think (as mentioned above) this is one of the main issues...it all became an issue too late in the day. The only time I would agree we as paying fans have a say regarding seating is when we've ALREADY purchased them, which it's clear is the situation in this instance...hence my comments about looking forward and planning any proposed migration.

I'm in Block E and there were around 8 or so HF in there dotted about. I wasn't paying too much attention but they appeared to be singing with everyone else. A central singing section would be better for atmosphere and would pull in more involvement from adjacent blocks. Official 'safe standing' is some way off, until an MP is willing to put their name to it I can't see it happening for a few years so I assume the club has to deal with this delicately. At this time I'd see some real opportunity for the HF to gain support from fans, perhaps introduce a monthly £1 subscription to help with displays etc. and identify pockets of support where they can grow. I suspect this is mostly in the Holmesdale Lower in any case. I think it is important that there is a separate voice to the club, for checks and balances, so would prefer this to happen organically rather than the apparent rush job we are seeing in liaison with the club. No-one wants a decline in the atmosphere but in order to pull in the same direction we need all sides to be open to compromise.

I don’t know what any of that achieves because clearly those sitters in E have to move. There’s no other way if the HF insist on being in E. You’ll then have F and so on needing to stand.

One thing is for certain. When new stand comes expect the HF to grow on that lower tier. Until then, I hope there is a compromise!
