Sakho to Lille?

I have just read on twitter that Lille are trying to sign Sakho for Ł13 million. At first blush, I thought that this was obviously rubbish, but if we are trying to trim the wage bill then perhaps... thoughts?

They are allegedly offering Sakho a reduction in wages too

Genuinely don’t see any reason this would happen unless we’re actually in a direr financial situation than previously realised.

I don’t think palace need the money that desperately. Sakho has been a solid signing and if anything. Especially with this market. Should be sold for 40+. He is not going to take a pay cut. Especially at that age. Unless we had some major new cb. I don’t see him or Tomkins going anywhere
