At hotels abroad, I've seen people laying towels on sunbeds before they go to bed, safe in the knowledge they can get up late, and still have sunbed.
Wrong.
A waiter comes out very early in the morning and chucks all towels in the swimming pool. Job done.

and footie shirts on holiday just lacks a bit of class. Even if it is Palace.

I've never understood the need for Brits to go abroad and hang a Union Jack from their hotel balcony. Or complain when the natives don't speak English or ketchup is not served with everything.

I was on holiday it Italy recently. On Lake Garda; I wasn't really expecting all that towel on sun-lounger mullarky, but it was a constant problem. Without sun-loungers there was no where around the pools. At one stage a bloke nicked my kids' sun-loungers while they were in the pool. I can say he was taken down a peg or two by me. Germans and Dutch were getting up at 7 to put towels on sun loungers and the place was doing nothing about it. Was like a week of the battle of the sun loungers, rather than a holiday. Can say we were getting beaten by the Germans' sheer dedication and determination to have every sun lounger to themselves.
Imagine setting your alarm for 6 something whilst on holiday and putting a pile of towels on sun loungers in the faint light of dawn. The sheer mentality of it is bewildering.
