Hope Guaita gets a chance to start this season. Hennesy has had a long enough run between the sticks. Time to warm the bench in my opinion.

It'll be interesting to see who Roy starts with in goal on Saturday. Because he tends to stick with his choices, whichever it is will likely be first choice for a while.

I'd like to see someone else get a go between the sticks think hennesy has had his chance let guaita have a go in goal

I trust Roy et al to look at our options in training and pick who’s performing the best.
Then he’ll give them a run of games, and not overact to a mistake if it occurs.

We should do that with all players, once they’ve had a chance we should let someone else have a turn, that would be fair and not discriminate based upon form or ability

Those hoping Wayne has turned a corner obviously didn't watch the Oxford friendly...

To be fair that was a pretty good goal from, what was effectively a one-on-one; I doubt many keepers would have had a better than 50/50 in the same circumsatnces. There were some questions to be asked of the defence as well.

In the Toulouse game Guita twice palmed the ball to an onrushing attacker; once we conceded, the second he got away with. They all make mistakes.

I trust Roy to make the right decision on who starts in goal; he hasn't let us down yet!

My opinion is that he was decent second half of last season and unless he's been awful pre-season Guaita has to earn the shirt.

But don't like the frequency of niggly cry-offs and injuries.

Much more worried about benteke than our pretty good goalkeeping options .

Not sure what you mean here. One pre season game? Hardly representative.

I thought as I have done for years that if you place a decent defence in front of him he is a more than able Prem keeper.

Thought he played very well today.

Twice first half of last season but don't want to detract from his / the teams start today. Didn't go today but well done to him based on the reports.

As I said he was decent second half of last season and deserves his place.

If we're being picky I'm not sure that he's always looked as reliable as you're suggesting and the defence goalkeeper relationship is a two way street.

Overall he had a good game but still has a habit of saving and pushing the ball back into the danger area which one another day could of proved costly but perhaps our luck is in this year.
