Way more important things for people to worry about these days You'd think but Samuel L Jackson complained when Daniel Kaluuya was cast as the lead in Get Out on the basis that he was English, and that interracial relationships are so common here compared to in the USA.

I much prefer characters to retain their original characteristics particularly when they are major. I've no issue with someone breaking through due to meritocracy....if someone screen tests the best I'd overlook the ethnicity stuff.....though I agree with you that Bond is meant to be white, just as Shaft is meant to be black.
