Freedman joins all the pieces together by liaising with all the different execs because it’s such a big and important operation it needs someone making sure there’s joined up thinking and communication and understanding between each of them is up to scratch. It’s a business that’ll be worth over £200 million in a few years and the manager doesn’t have the time and the chairman doesn’t have the football background or experience.
