Finally had a chance to see that on MoTD.

Hennessey improved even more on the end of last season and some fine saves. Wan-Biassaka was unbelievable and his ball into Wilf for the second goal was top drawer. Once Schlupp got his act together Milivojevic and McArthur were able to function properly and there was only one team in it from then on.

Sakho didn't touch Mitrovic, the ref was right on top of it and none of the Fulham players appealed for it. Shearer is a tosspot of no common order.

Fulham were a decent outfit which has just made £100m investment in new players and they looked bang up for it. We struggled with them a bit for the first half hour or so and needed top-drawer goalkeeping to stay in it, but after that it was an excellent performance against a good team. Bring on the bin dippers.

I thought it was a penalty and had it been the other way round we would be seething. We got lucky there as a penalty and potential equaliser could have completely changed the game.

Sakho can be a bit of a donkey sometimes.

When he tries to hoof it he often miscues it as he did yesterday a couple of times.

Well, it was a very difficult call for Dean and from what he could (and couldn't) see he was right not to give it. Interesting to know what would have happened with VAR! It was the one break we had in the match and we deserved to win anyway. Shame that Wilf hit the keeper's outstretched foot when he was put clear by Tekkers. That would have settled the match and the penalty dispute would have been irrelevant.

It's possible that even VAR wouldn't have helped with this one. I was watching on TSN (Canadian channel) and they replayed the three different angles several times each, and you could still not see precisely where the feet were and how much, if any, room between them. Dean was pretty close in and would have had the best view.

Nobody's mentioned the ref yet...Thought he had an excellent game. Maybe a bit harsh on the zaha booking, but wilf needs to get that petulance out of his game. One more miss timed tackle and he'd have been sent off and faced a ban.

As far as the game went, perfect away performance. Soak up the pressure, score just before half time, up the intensity second half and score a break away goal to kill the game.

Some good posts on here today. However I don't understand the negativity towards Sorloth. The lad was given 10mins game time again, and played well, I actually felt sorry for him, he could of had 2 x clear opportunities to score, but was completely ignored by his team mates. One was Wilf, who should have played the ball into the open space in front of him (Sorloth was calling and pointing for it) the other was maybe Kouyaté, where Sorloth laid the ball out right looking for the 1-2 and made a great run to be clear in front of goal to be ignored (Kouyaté had a shot). I'd like to see him play a full 90 in the PL actually in position.

He did against Spurs and Everton I think. Did ok. He needs more games to get up to speed as I do think there's potential there.

It should be easier to buy tickets for the game.
In the old days you could just go and pay on the turnstiles
I was told it was a sell out so I went down Fulham anyway.
Ended up getting a ticket off a tout for £70
OK I know that was rich but I was in and it was worth every penny.
There were loads of empty seats next to me in our end.
WTF all the t***s regulating our game are encouraging touting because of old fools like me.

I agree with this. Thought he looked fitter, stronger and quicker from last season. He was chasing down balls and seemed to offer something different when he came on.

That said, I thought Benteke did ok.

It was also nice to see the reception Roy got, he was a class act.

The empty seats were down to Fulham. My conversation with their box office manager was along the lines of

"You've loads of seats left in the neutral end & I'd like two please."

"Sorry, you need to be a ST holder, member or have previous purchasing history to buy them".

"I've already said I'm an away fan so the first two are unlikely - how do I get a'purchase history' if you won't let me buy a ticket?"

"You could get one for a game where they are on general sale, like Burnley".

"I don't want a ticket for the Burnley game. The tickets are already way over the capped away fans price already so adding additional costs makes them unaffordable. Why will you not put this game on general sale - surely you want a full house for your first game back in the PL"?

"Not really".

Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five!

Just returned from a short trip to Bologna and seen MotD highlights. Great advertisement for the PL, both teams having a right good go to get a win. Rode our luck with the pen but overall a great performance. Nice to see many players upping their game under Roy such as PVA. COYP !!

Been reading Hol for years and finally signed up to share my opinions. Which is easy after 3 points! Boom

Coming into work on a Monday morning after a palace win is a good feeling.

The lads were fantastic, great to see then working hard for eachother. Really hoping Tekkers bangs one in against Pool.
