We got off to a winning start? It feels like ages ago but maybe last season has distorted my memory.

Its not how you start ........ its how you finish.

But I'm happy so far.

Nay probs, I just copied a bit of a post I did the other day: [Link] Today is only the second time we have got any points out our first game. Won 2 and lost 4 on the first day of the season in the Premier League

Great start. Last year gave everyone a few game head start. Still bought our players late , not ready yet , but needed a win to start. Think Wan Bissaka starting was massive.

Its also the first time we've managed to start the new season with the same manager and coaching staff that finished the last season. The continuity and stability that this brings is paramount. Everybody knows what they are doing and whats expected of them.
Fantastic result ... today we looked like a confidant organised and well prepared outfit ...well done Roy.

No- we started with Pardew in 16/17, and Holloway in 13/14. If you blotted those from your memory don't worry I understand! I guess the continuity etc they brought didn't compensate for their managerial skills.

Ok your right I should have said. Since promotion in 2012 we have only had one consecutive premiership season with the same management.
