Very talented, quick winger who likes to cut inside, only 23 years old and has a great goalscoring record in Mexico and the Netherlands. He had a great World Cup and was linked with the big boys in Europe (especially after the Germany win), but the interest has quietened a lot now. Would be worth a bid in January given our relative lack of wing options and the fact he would improve the starting XI. He would also have a potentially enormous sell-on value (the Dutch league is a lot cheaper to recruit from than the Prem).

Anyone is aware of the TV revenue and money going around in England so expect to pay accordingly. Apart from that: his name is being mentioned in relation to Liverpool, Barcelona, Inter and the likes so would imagine he is not interested.

The league’s top scorer who is also a winger and only two years older, Alireza Jahanbakhsh, went this summer to Brighton (a team with the Premier League’s TV revenue) for only around £17 million from AZ Alzmaar. I’m just wondering what the 36-40 million price you’ve come up with is actually based on in light of the above? As for not being interested in us purely because of interest from bigger clubs, this window has proven that is not an issue whatsoever with lots of players such as Jean Micheal Seri (linked with Barca before now at Fulham) and our own Max Meyer (linked with the big boys in England before) Edited by cpal4eva (13 Aug 2018 7.35am)
