I've never really had to wait that long after the game to get served so that's not too bad. I'm also normally one of the last to get in the queue from the very back of the upper tier. Apart from a rush just before and at half time those extra staff members are just more people sitting around doing nothing. Could the catering and bar service be better? Yeah, but we're talking about tiny windows of time every couple of weeks. If you want to make sure you get served quickly, arrive at the ground a bit earlier or send someone to the bar before half time. A football game is also very different scenario to a rugby/cricket game before people mention that. The fact people are allowed to drink in the stands at those events means there is a steady stream of people going to the bar, and also then the nearby food stands. Those sports also generally have more 'downtime' to allow for such breaks.
Employee of the month is a good example of how someone can be both a winner and a loser at the same time. |

I’m sure most of you like me grew up local and have moved out of the cpfc area in my case the iow ..! There’s v little near the ground now ..... unless ur an unlucky fried chicken fan so a good bit of artisan pop up style food would be soooo welcome ! ( btw yes I know there’s a new Costa ) And why oh why no beer pumps outside the Holmesdale ala Fulham n other sporting venues Or just select n pay decent pay staff properly maybe just train up those poor very few behind the bar to look a little like they are not on ‘community service’ or really wanna be there ??? I have not availed of the catering facilities at the aforementioned locations but there does appear to be a groundswell of negativity towards the product and service. I recall bygone days when the only facilities available to 'Yours truly' was that small hut at the top of the Holmesdale and the peanut lady Mrs Minchella who was always stood on the Holmesdale terrace.Perhaps there were others but the years have dimmed my memory !
