Then he said that Roy picks his 11 and trains with them all week and always gives them a long time in a game as he believes that’s the best 11 to win that game. Says he’s always been like it and will never change.

This is a discussion forum sonny. A lot of fans have questioned why he didn't use subs earlier. Which is a valid question as he said before the game that Meyer koyoute and Ayew were fit and he wouldn't hesitate to play them. So why don't you tell us why you think he didn't, rather than just be abusive.

I was at the game and it looked pretty obvious to me, and others around me, that we were struggling in the second half and that something needed to be changed. The Meyer/Schlupp change could have been made earlier and I agree with those who think Ayew could have replaced Benteke rather than Sorloth. We had also lost the centre midfield and I would have liked to have seen Kouyate on to counter that - probably for Jimmy. Edited by Direwolf (27 Aug 2018 3.15pm)

But if it starts going wrong, most will use subs to change it, that's what subs are for. Totally pointless putting on a centre forward for the last few mins. Roy was saying last season that one of the reasons for our injuries was that he had to play thd same players every week because of lack of options on the bench. Before yesterday's game he said that all our new signings were fully fit and he wouldn't hesitate to play them and yet he still didn't use them until thd last minute.
