Sorloth’s hold up play is pretty poor. He doesn’t have good close control. Definitely not up to par.

Yeah, his first touch is not good. Not really sure what his role tonight is, a little support wouldn't hurt though.

On the train home so have missed the 1st half, however regarding the Sorloth bashing, hardly surprising he’s not exactly match sharp considering how little he’s played

This is not an issue of match sharpness, it’s being a bit sh&t at football.

He is not so much the tip of the spear more the soft fluffy ball on some teenage girls beanie.

Pretty turgid stuff. We need to get the ball to AWB as he is all over their left back and gets a cross in every time.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

We are extremely slow, only side or back passes.
Sørloth missed an easy header. Awb and Williams are doing ok.
You'd expect a team with Sørloth, punch, meyer, kouyate, etc to produce at least a shoot on goal against an u23 Championship side, but we haven't.
Let's hope things improve in the 2nd half.

Lets not worry if it goes to Penalties which it looks like the case we have a keeper in that has saved one from the best player in the world messi

Meyer and AWB look good.

The rest look pants so far.

I think Kouyate, when he’s got the ball, has looked alright. But despite playing central mid he seems to have barely been on the ball

Unfortunately some of our players are playing like it was. AWB and Meyer look good with the ball. Everything seems to be coming down the right with AWB, not sure what Punch is doing ? Sorloth looks poor, not near aggresive enough at headers and wayward shots. Shame we couldn't see Ayew tonight. Why is both Williams and Meyer playing ? Seems rather a waste of time and would prefer a more attack minded player. Williams had a great opportunity to shoot and wasted it.

Didn't know he was on the pitch as my commentary seems to be in Dutch so muted, lol

Has been good to watch this game, without much pressure, just an opportunity to watch the new and fringe players in the squad.

So far have been impressed with Jonny, he's been everywhere so far and seems to be keen to take responsibility for linking the midfield to attack.

The criticism I've just scanned from other comments is fair. Sorloth's hold up play has been lacking, for a big lad I would really like to see him use his strength and bring the ball down safely.

Good work so far from Puncheon and Schlupp also but the best player so far has been AWB in my opinion.

Hopefully we have a positive and impressive second half.

Puncheon and Riedewald look well off the pace. Kouyate has grown into the game. Williams the best player for me in the first half, tied with AWB. Meyer looks short on match sharpness, but you can see the quality. One issue is that I think Williams and Meyer are perhaps too similar and keep ending up under each other's feet.

Innis is a giant and looks good on the ball, although guilty of a mistake or two. Basically we look like a preseason team. As the half went on our passing got better and we started to control the game by the end, but we were saved by some poor finishing earlier in the half.

I like to give players a chance, but Sorloth looks a long way off PL quality at the moment. I hope he proves me wrong, but his touch has been heavy and he has already missed two or three chances with his head which Tekkers would probably have at least got on target.

So far this has been a nice run out for everyone.

A chance to stretch their legs in a competitive game.

It's great to see Williams out there although he's been sent tumbling to the floor a couple of times.

He's looked good, along with AWB, who is our biggest threat.

Innis looks athletic, but isn't, Punch must be loving just being out there and I agree with others Alex S is hardly giving Roy something to think about.
