Would have thought either Reidewald or koyoute to have taken the game by the scruff of the neck in the centre of midfield. But neither seem to be in the game much at all

Totally agree with this. I think Williams looks pretty good...just a tad lightweight. Meyer and Williams get tangled up with each other quite a bit in the first half but they both are at least trying to push forward as is AWB. Sorloth is taking notes from Benteke on how not to hit the target but at least he is running. A pretty even first half.

I like him as a player and think he will be a good squad player. Can’t see him starting at the moment. Meyer on the other hand seems to be everywhere, bossing the midfield and controlling the game. He could be exactly what we need alongside Luka or in a no10 role. Looks class!

On the train home so have missed the 1st half, however regarding the Sorloth bashing, hardly surprising he’s not exactly match sharp considering how little he’s played Sorloth has been fine, the issue has been he is isolated too often. Jairo and Check look bloody rusty. Meyer, Punch and Jonny are busy, but the other two just look to slow to everything at the mo.

Really not encouraging at all. AWB head and shoulders the best player on the park. Tempo of passing is slow and sluggish, midfield does not get forward any where near quick enough. The only time we penetrate their back line is when AWB drives forward. Also think we’ve had 5 corners! Deliveries floated with no pace and come across as being just hopeful. Sadly Sorloth always seems to lack any real desire to get on the end of anything.
