Can't go changing the captaincy on a whim, but I believe Tomkins would make a great captain if given the opportunity. Only problem is that he is slightly injury prone.

Luka is struggling without Cabaye next to him, but as we adjust I'm sure he'll find his form again and the questions arising about his captaincy will disappear.

Serbia played just three games at the World Cup finals, the last of which was on 27 June. I think that blaming any loss of form on that, two months later, is stretching credibility beyond the limit. By and large the whole team has performed below expectations so far this season, and it's probably unfair to single out individuals.

It's not just the three games as you put it though is it?

Luka will have come back to preseason later than everyone else as no doubt he would have been given time off after his involvement ended.

Now I'm not saying it's the only reason but it's a consideration and it shouldn't be so readily dismissed.

However while I am not going to single out Luka as he has not been the only one not performing, he was the only one to go to the World Cup.

The whole team barring AWB, PVA and Hennessey have been disappointing but I think from the first 6 games collectively we were expecting more points. I saw 5/6 as winnable with only Liverpool being a blot on the copy book. So yes the expectations were higher for sure.

I think Luka is fine as we cannot keep changing it, but the squad as a group are not performing to expectations at the minute.

Milivojevic didn't play in the first three pre-season games, playing his first away to Reading. He therefore played the same number of games over the summer as the rest of the squad, and no doubt the World Cup games were considerably better preparation competitively than the likes of Helsingor, Halmstads and Oxford United. Arguably his pre-season was better than the rest of the squad, but as I've already said, I don't think his form is any better or worse than most of the rest of the squad.

I wouldnt say change the skipper due to the unrest it would create in the squad. But 100% think he is worthy of being dropped against Huddersfield. Has been no way near the same since coming back from the WC & honestly feel that Jairo should be given a his chance to impress

Dont let Cabaye go

I agree that Milivojevic hasn't been at his best this season but I will be surprised if Hodgson drops him.I feel against a physical Huddersfield team there is case for introducing Kouyate into the fray.

But the Serbian WC squad management was an utter fiasco and they f***ed him over completely. Probably needed therapy just to get over it.
